Win32.Malware-gen?? Help please.

Ran Avast last night it found this, it got rid of it? then ran scan in boot-time scan.

This is logs, could someone please check that it's gone, was it bad etc..... another thing on start up, some box is popping up windowshhp or someting ,wanting to install which worries me, will restart again and get details.

The Hijackthis log isn't showing anything untoward. This log will give us more information to go on.


Download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:

After you've downloaded it and saved it to your desktop:

• Double click DDS to run it.
• When it's finished, DDS will open two logs:

1. DDS.txt
2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop.

Hello I can't seem to do what you ask, when I click your link it says save file, but when I find the file in downloads its a screensaver, plus avast wants to open it in a "sandbox"??

Yes, it has a .scr extension, but it isn't a screensaver.

Don't run it in Avast's sandbox as it may interfere with the results.

Ok shall try again, re-started laptop and a hhproductassistant box pops up, something to do with cd-roms? when i click cancel it still tries to install it!! Don't know what this is

Ok when I click on downloads, the avast pops up, change that to open normally then a box pops up saying screen saver settings, when i click ok nothing happens:osorry to be so dim!

I've manged to get a shortcut on desktop but no further when I click install a black box appears briefly then goes.
