Quick update, good job I write it down cos I can't remember what I've already declared, but my big saving is £46 on car insurance, present company quoted £425, and after doing quotes that was the best by at least £100, but I rung them up and asked if they could do it better cos it seemed a bit dear, first reduction was £14 and I ummed and ahhed a bit, she said would I mind holding while she spoke to her manager see if they could do anything else, said not at all, £46 knocked off, so £379, was going to say round the discount up to £50 and you've got a deal but thought I best not push my luck, so quite chuffed. I'd saved the money up to pay in full so that's done.

Glad ebay is free listing this week I hadn't received the email so going to get some good stuff on this weekend, fingers crossed to everyone getting rid of a bit more lovely stuff.

I know I'm a bit late for this month but I do need a swift kick up the #u# to get me moving. I have joined in before ages ago but I always seem to fall off the wagon. I hope I don't do that this time

I've just read that it's a free listing weekend for Ebay so I'll
    give that another go too.

Just a quick query on the free listings if anyone could clarify for me.

Is it free listings of 100 per month for items of £ 1 or more ? or can you list a maximum of 100 free listings of £ 1 or more when Ebay hold these free listing weekends ?

Also is it now a maximum of 100 listings per month of items of 99p or less ?

I'm now off for a rummage round the house.

Doubt I'd manage to list anywhere near a 100 listings mind tho have noticed that OP's have managed to list a shed load. That's awesome.

    Good luck everyone.

    Karen.

Aiming for £ 5 a day but any more will be gratefully received.

Just signed up to this too.
I now see you can get 1000 points for a direct referral :( Sorry didnt know.

You can send a PM to someone on here so they can refer you, that way they earn an extra 1000 points, or you can search maximiles on google and that will get you to where you need to be.

never too late to join hun :D

the free listings this weekend means you can list as much as you want for free, without having to pay listing ebay fees. I would recommend listing stuff at £1 and over for that reason.

you can still have your 100 99p ebay listings - but if you include them this weekend, they include that in your monthly total.

so list at £1 and over this weekend and then next week list your 99p stuff.
  • Hi,

I'm a week into this challenge, and my aim was to earn £6.50 per day towards saving for a new bike, starting last Friday.

    So far I'm at £39.02 - so £6.48 short.

I've found £12.42 in an old bank account, £9.10 in surveys, £2.13 in road kill & coins found under sofas etc, and £15.37 in eBay.

I'm hoping that I get a bit of an increase this weekend as I've got 42 items on eBay finished - 14 of which are old DVD's that I thought I'd try at 99p start before sending to Music Magpie.

Not sure I'll be able to keep it up after this week as I'm back to work next week :(

I've tried the mcCains shillings - printing, saving to favourites etc. but my total just stays at 320 - any tips!

    Good luck everyone!
