ah thanks fariryclicks - I have been doing ALL the videos I am eligible for. I just let them play while doing other things, so probably didn't notice how many points were being added.
this time round I have taken a £10 M&S voucher, because someone on another thread said for xmas they buy from M&S because quality of food higher, BUT they wait until the day before - go in at 3pm and everything is reduced and they pay with vouchers from surveys, etc.
so I am going to try that, we don't have a freezer, so will try to buy reduced biscuits/chocolates, etc up until I have to buy turkey.0 -
hey all,
You are all doing so well.
Today i have managed to use the 13 £1 off vouchers to get 13 packs of huggies pure wipes i also got 3 huggies newborn pack using vouchers for free and managed to exchange the newborn nappies from in the packs for a bigger size. so saved me £10 on nappies
Added £23 from this voucher trip to my total. I have also found about 8 childcare books which are not of much use to me they are more level 2 then the level 5 i am studying so going to pop them on ebay and hope they make a few quid:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Aesop and Sweetpeas - I just had a thought re the living on £100 per month situations - i was living like this too because of debts and expenses until i decided to take action that i had been avoiding for a long time - i was managing my debts but at the expense of myself.
I finally 'gave in' and contacted the companies i owed money too and explained the situation -ie that i wasn't able to work due to ill health, and all apart from barclays were extremely supportive (Barclays told me there was nothing they could do and actually tried to sell me insurance!!!). I was offered a temporary arrangement for 6 months with most companies where they reduced my payments and froze my interest payments. This did make such a big difference to me - i had 12 debts at the time and i was able to free up over £300 per month with these arrangements in place. :j
I was so hesitant to do this for so long as my credit history was pretty good and i didn't want to go down the road of having problems recorded on that - the companies i was with though reassured me that this was not going to happen as long as i kept to the arrangements made with them.
Unfortunately, i have been unable to work now for 2 years and had to take further action after the initial arrangements - i arranged a DMP with CCCS. Although it seemed quite bleak at the time to be just about able to pay the minimum of £5 per debt when i set that up - i was living on about £70 per week ESA and trying to pay a mortgage at the same time!!!
i am now getting back on my feet at least a little bit:
Today i actually managed to clear 3 of my smaller debts completely and so the payments to each remaining debt will now go up to about £7 per month without me having to increase my monthly payment. It may not be a huge jump but it does show me things are going in the right direction at least
Obviously i have no idea of your individual circumstances guys, but if it is debt that is causing you such difficulty then i thought this may be something worth checking out for yourselves!
I hope things do get easier for you both very soon xxxxxDebt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go

never too late to join hun
the free listings this weekend means you can list as much as you want for free, without having to pay listing ebay fees. I would recommend listing stuff at £1 and over for that reason.
you can still have your 100 99p ebay listings - but if you include them this weekend, they include that in your monthly total.
so list at £1 and over this weekend and then next week list your 99p stuff.
Thanks very much for replying.
Getting quite excited . Sad I know !! :jJuly £10 a day challenge £ 20.05 / £ 1550 -
Nothing to add yet today but I've found some more things to list on ebay, including a couple of pairs of eye wateringly expensive shoes so hopefully I'll get a decent amount. It was quite traumatic but I've decided that shoes aren't ornaments, and in future I will only buy ones that I can a)afford and b)walk in.
This made me laugh... Reminds me of something i said about clothing. No more "clubbing style" clothes for me as the furthest i go these days are the school gates. If i turn up there in some of the clothes i've seen lately then i may raise a few eyebrows! :rotfl:Thanks CPyou'll know which one is me, I'll be on the floor or in the "bus" that picks up all the fainters lol :rotfl:
You'll be with my brother then :rotfl:misskaytee wrote: » Living on £100 for a month or £25 per week.
Jeezus, words fail me
Big hugs Aesop & Sweetpeas :grouphug:
Am i the only one who finds this Shocking, and really quite upsetting
Aesop, dont feel guilty using your child benefit, needs must!
Sorry, but just realised the time, and im running late
Best wishes to you both x
It probably more common than people realise, and i'm also pleased to hear i'm not the only one going through this. This month, after all bills we had £85 left for food for 5 of us. Its amazing what meals i can come up with, all thanks to my daughters allotment! She is only 8 but has her own land next to her Grandad and i can honestly say i have no idea how i would have survived the last couple of month without all of the "free" veggies!
Hence the reason i'm doing this challenge! :rotfl:
So... what do i have to add. Well i've had NO cigs for nearly 2 weeks now!:eek::eek: Not counting this money tho because its just gone towards school dinners and bus fares. Me and DH were talking about how we could have paid for this if we hadn't stopped smoking. I honestly have no idea! Very worrying. Another £3 off £20 spend at Mr T's today. I think because i don't do a big shop these days and only spend around £20-30 each time then this is why i keep getting these vouchers. Also mam passes hers on to me. Every little helps huh? My "biggy" money maker is quidco! My mam was saying she needed a new mobile phone, so i found her a deal which worked for her and gave me £80 cashback. I told her that i would split it with her but she says no, that i need it more than her. I'm not adding this yet as obviously i don't have it yet. I have had an email saying tracked and confirmed (or something like that, never used quidco before) but i have no idea how long it actually takes to recieve the actual money. Does anyone else know? If i can get it before santa comes then that would be great!
Well... Hope everyone else is well. My depression is picking up. I think stopping smoking was adding to my stress but now i feel much better for it. Lets just hope i can keep it up!
Free listing again this weekend i see, so i'll be ebaying all day tomorrow i think!
Have a good weekend everyone! xxxxxxxxSlimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb
