 Haven't been on for ages; laptop died a death & couldn't afford to take it in somewhere to get it looked at, so waited until today since it's my friend's day off and she's a whizz with these sorts of things. One operating system re-install later and it's good to go, and I paid her in homemade cake made from a couple of over-ripe bananas so there's a bargain for you. :rotfl:
Have updated my signature - got some ebay sales - nothing fancy, I thought I'd start with the cheap stuff and hopefully get my seller ratings up before I list anything that's worth any actual money, but still sold 8 of the 10 things I listed, so just need to get on with the next batch now I've got started & the laptop's back in the land of the living.
Have enough to cash in at McCains but am going to try to get up to 2000 points and get the John Lewis vouchers - am saving for a set of specific glasses for my brother and sil for xmas, and should be able to do it all in surveys etc the rate I'm going. Am near to cash in on a few other sites too, so just keeping plugging away.
Ooooh, and got invited to a face-to-face market research panel as a result of one survey, haven't had the details through yet but had a phonecall to confirm, and that'll pay £50 if it happens (not counting my chickens until I've got it in writing!!) :j
Off to have a skim through the 20ish pages I've missed, see if any other brilliant ideas have come up in the meantime :rotfl:0 -
I've taken a bit of a leap of faith; Theres a bit of hype going on about 'THE' coat of the season from French Connection. Its limited edition and £100 instead of £180. As soon as they've sold out im putting it on ebay! I've bought one in popular size 10 so I most deffo wont keep it! They did this last year for London Fashion week and it flew off shelves so hoping I might make a pretty penny2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0

Question:
If I save money but don't specifically put the money from my current account into my savings account...does it count?
Example:
I keep all my cash in my savings account and only dip in to pay off the CC at the end of the 56 days....
So today I saved £3 by using a manufacturers coupon didn't use CC so wont have to take an extra £3 out of savings at the end of the month...perhaps I'm overthinking this...I think it's ok to count it but I'll wait for the wise and wonderful to ok it for mexxx

Others count their coupon savings, so i think, if you think its deserves to be counted then do it!
I dont count the usual savings i make when shopping, but if i had took the time to find a coupon, cut it out/ printed it off, and then used it, i would be counting it has money earned
I think you may also be thinking of when people say they have saved some money, by not buying something that they most proberly would of bought before without thinking. Then the general and fair rule of counting is that, it can be counted but only if the money saved is then used to pay something off/ added to savings pot ect instead.
An example would be, I didnt buy a magazine today, i was looking but decided it wasn't worth £3.50, that kind of thinking is greatbut its even better if you then put the £3.50 away into The savings or debt busting pot:j
Thats my opinion anyway
Others on the Challenge ONLY count actually money earned during the month. Really its down to you what you decide to count
