I know lots of you get loads of amazon vouchers, so could be worth looking into :)

it's not just amazon vouchers that sell well. I remember probably a couple of thread back, Purpleroses explained that she cannot buy certain vouchers in her area, so when people sell on ebay, she is more likely to bid on them.

Also people with a lot of paypal money, that for whatever reason do not want to transfer to a bank account, will spend their money buying on ebay and will often overbid for stuff, as it does not affect them, they are paying by paypal. so to them "free money".

I won a £20 Selfridges voucher once and I knew I wasn't going to go London to especially spend it. Put it on ebay and someone who lived in London bought it for £15.

to bookmark where you last read, what I do is click on my email that says a new post has been added, and it takes me to the last post I read to.

Alternatively if you don't subscribe by email and just log in, if you click on view first unread on the green toolbar, this will take you to the first unread post, since you last read.

Be very careful if you sell Amazon e-codes on ebay though as I was caught out a few years ago with this...
Someone bought it and I emailed it through to them. The following week (after it had been spent, of course!) they opened an item not received dispute!!!
Obviously I had no proof of postage, so I emailed ebay about it and explained that I had sent it via email - offering them a screenshot of the message that was dated a week before. A simple email to Amazon may also have shown who used the voucher, but eBay couldn't care less - they told me that they don't look at members' emails as they are private and that unless I could offer 'proof of postage' (even though a screenshot would have been proof that I sent it!) that they would steal my money and give it to the 'buyer'....
They stole it, the 'buyer' robbed a few other people (I had emails from people who had the same thing happen to them), ebay couldn't give a !!!! as they were raking in their fees either way, and we couldn't do anything about it - we couldn't even warn people about him as ebay had recently cocked up the feedback system so sellers couldn't leave anything other than positive.

 Stupid eBay - I'm really annoyed with them again after writing that, lol. This is just one of the reasons I hate eBay, unfortunately it's just a necessary evil that we have to put up with if we want to make a bit of extra money. :(

Back to topic.... if you send an e-voucher, always send a paper copy to the buyer. I've always done this since, it's suprising how many 'buyers' no longer want the voucher when you tell them that you are mailing a copy!
  • Thanks for the heads up Lolly, didnt think of that !!

Well what a day im having!! :o

I did manage to get down the shed, but not very far "in" it!! so have just spent a wind swept couple of hours playing shed tetris, and sorting stuff out! its a good job i did, i had part of a dinner service listed thinking i had 10 plates, while sorting i could only find 4  so hurried back inside to end 6 listings early for imaginary plates!!
while doing that i also find an item not as discribed messege :(
something i sold earlier in the week was missing an instruction booklet, so had to hunt high and low, eventually found it rushed to post office, to find out ive just missed the last collection of the day !!

So im going to take 5, have a cuppa, and then keep calm and carry on! :D
