GA - I think my voucher took just short of a week from when I ordered it.
We also ordered OHs near the end of last week and we haven't had it yet.

Bah Humbug .... siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh - looks like I'll be short then - unless a fairy comes and puts £10 in the kitty for me :rotfl::rotfl:

Don't you just hate that ... I can better live with being £50's out from target - than I can being just £1's short

BUT... I just got quite pleased, having gone to update the summary figures owed on my diary (keep forgetting to do the signature too :o) and noticed that through various means .. I've knocked off over £2k from my original Debt amount :j

Thanks to you all Guys n Gals - as a lot of that is down to the support on this thread. :A

I have a question .... so is the oracle that is Aesop around ? How long does it take usually for McCshills to send out vouchers ? I've got enough to cash out an Am*zon one, will it be in time to count for September ... or will I have to suffer the defeat of being an ant's breath short of target for the second month running :o:o:rotfl:

    Thanking you....

    G'Angel xxx

I was around but at work, busy photocopying  worse, I was supposed to leave at 4.45pm, ended up leaving 5.20pm and missed my bus :( not happy as had to pay tube fares all week thanks to DS missing bus in the morning. We have to wait half an hour for next bus.

anyway, Amazon vouchers are e-vouchers, they don't send you anything by paper as they cannot. Amazon only accept e-codes. In the Terms and Conditions, yes I did read them :D, usually within 3 days but could be longer.

Ooh, what is different about BINs? Can't seem to follow the link (my carppy laptop keeps freezing... 3 weeks after the warranty has run out ).

how old is your laptop? you may be able to take it up with wherever you bought it. Goods should be fit for purpose, etc and there is an expectation of reasonable life span.

Do I have to provide a refund if the buyer changes their mind?
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have to refund an item if the buyer changes their mind within 7 days after the day on which the item was delivered. However, whether the Distance Selling Regulations applies depends on the type of item sold and the listing format used (see "Where do the Distance Selling Regulations apply", below).

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, buyers have a period of 7 working days after the date of delivery within which they can cancel the contract (often referred to as the "cooling off" period) and get their money back, including the original postage and packing charges. You must refund the original delivery charges. However, you are permitted to require the buyer to pay for the cost of returning the item, but only if you clearly inform the buyer of this before the contract is made.

If you didn't provide information about your business required under the Distance Selling Regulations, the buyer has up to 3 months to cancel the contract and get their money back. To get a general idea of the laws governing distance sales, we recommend that you review BERR’s summary of the Distance Selling Regulations.

(Please note that, under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), there's no legal requirement for you to provide a refund if the buyer simply changes their mind.)

Where do the Distance Selling Regulations apply?
The Distance Selling Regulations generally apply to sales to non-business buyers made by sellers acting in the course of a business, which have been made at a distance. In other words, where there is no face-to-face contact between the seller and the buyer before the contract is made. The Distance Selling Regulations usually cover sales made over the internet, including:

Buy It Now listings on eBay.co.uk
    Second Chance Offers on eBay.co.uk

The UK Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to eBay auction format listings on eBay.co.uk, and do not apply to all types of items.

If your listing doesn't fall under the Distance Selling Regulations, you're not legally obliged to refund a buyer if they change their mind. However, you may choose to provide a service that goes beyond the minimum legal requirement in order to encourage consumers to buy from you. For more information, see BERR’s summary of the Distance Selling Regulations.

  • Evening all,

How is everyone today? I have an update of £110 from expenses claim and £57.76 refund from Westfield cos we left last month and they still docked our pay  It's all money i wasn't expecting so it's going in my little kitty :D

In October I'm planning to try and make some money to pay off our holiday (balance not due until beginning of March but DD's bday is in January and we always struggle first few months of the year, car tax, mot etc all land at this time :( ) so wanting to be pro active and pay some money off before Christmas if I can :o

Realistically with the way we are struggling at the minute, I would be really pleased if I could manage to pay about £100-150 off in October, so I might aim for £5 a month for this once, just so I'm not disapointed with the outcome :o

Essay sorry, can you tell I've been working from home today and not had any adult conversation? :rotfl:

    sweet x

    Hi Sweet

good to be so organised about holiday :)

I got bill for next month for DS' nursery, they are charging me more than I was expecting. They seem to think I didn't pay of arrears 2 months ago

so now will need to sit and go through bank statement, give them dates and amounts I paid :(
  • Hugs Aesop, you've had a crap afternoon haven't you :( chin up chuck, I know it's a school night but I'm on the vino - why don't you join me, crack open a bottle :D At least you can prove it by using your statements hun, and if all goes to plan by the time you get to the bottom of the bank statements you will be drunk and not care, ta dar! :D:D:D

    xx
