I am still waiting for a payment from MS - does anyone else work with gapbusters? this is my first payment due from them and it was due on 24th but not got it yet - anyone else get their payment from them this month? i'm wondering if i need to contact them....

  • :j £7.50 worth of vouchers in the post this morning.

A £5 giftcard from the daily mail rewards, now i stopped buying the paper after 1 weekend because i added the codes and it never said i had qualified for the voucher and i assumed i must of got the promo details wrong and needed to buy more papers, i decided it wasn't worth buying lots of newspapers that i dont read, so gave up.....But then today i get the giftcard, so might start up buying the Sat &Sun daily mail :rotfl:

Also got a letter from tesco detailing their changes to clubcard points ect and they sent a £2.50 voucher, infact thinking now, it was a 250 clubcard points voucher, which means with them going back to the 4x the face value of vouchers on deals.... could be worth as much as £10 :D
Im not adding those to my total, i will add once used.

Booooo! My Mccains points are still the same - guess my efforts have been ignored :( Will keep going and see if they start to jump again.

Also, just adding £2.60 student discount.

It's not good. :( At the mo, instead of 1 point per pound, we get two - they're stopping that on 24th oct (I think it's 24th? somthing like that). They are putting a few of the deals back up to 4x value to compensate, but only on 'Days out' and 'Restaurants' - not great for me, as there aren't any of the restaurants in my area (only Coffee places - bleugh!).

Also, be careful if you plan on using them for days out as a lot of places do 'annual passes' for the price of the day entry, but if you pay with clubcard points you only get the day pass, which is a waste of money if you plan on going more than once.

How annoying! Why do they want to return it? You know, you don't have to accept returns unless it's faulty. Oh, and if it isn't faulty you don't have to refund original postage costs, just the cost of the item.

I'm not so sure this is right unfortunately.
I'm fairly sure that under the Distance Selling Regulations, so long as they notify you within a certain time that they want to return it, you also have to refund postage. Although you don't have to refund the cost of them returning it to you, which can sometimes be a favourite for grumpy buyers to try and pull, and convince you that you do.

Sorry I've not time to double check, so I might be wrong, but have a Google! (or wait for Aesop - I'm sure she'll know!!)

Fairyclicks - Gapbuster are pretty reliable payers, so I wouldn't worry. Plus they are notoriously difficult to get hold of and you're unlikely to get a reply if you email them (except for occasionally, and that's only if it benefits them rather than you!!). they have paid late a few times lately, although usually announce this on the noticeboard bit on the site. People on the MS thread were saying they also hadn't been paid yet. I've not done anything for them for a couple of months as I only do them as filler jobs for a free lunch when I'm nearby anyway as they are low payers, so I'm not due anything from them this month.

That is true, but only applies to business sellers. Private sellers don't have to accept returns, unless it's faulty or not as described - although if they have specified a returns policy, then they have to stick to it.

You definitely don't have to refund any postage though (if it is the buyer's choice to return, and not actually faulty/N A D, etc). I've bought a couple of things from Dorothy Perkins before that didn't fit right, and they don't refund any postage costs :( - I looked into it as it seemed quite mean at the time, lol.

    Are you a business seller?

If not, and you did not sell the item on BIN, then you do not have to refund the customer. As goodwill, you may wish to, but you do not have to refund the customer posting back to you.
