    I hate uncalled for jealousy.

when she can be bothered to train and do what it takes to run a marathon/half marathon, she can comment.

It annoys me when people say things like, "is that all? you could have done better."

unless they are doing it themselves, how do they know? and even then.... one marathon runner would not belittle another marathon runner like that!

grrrrrr - let me at her!

PS - you are very welcome! :D

no hun, that's ok, just wanted to check you were getting them and it wasn't going to spam. I know how busy you are, so not a biggie or rush thing.
Nothing to do with a certain huuuuuuge list of reading I've been given for my "homework" by someone :think: :whistle: :rotfl::rotfl:

yes I was subscribed to one of those sites, can't remember it now. Was given it through fb. I have stuff I would like to hire out but wasn't sure about the insurance side of it, etc
not that I am doing well with that. Cannot sell DS' old clothes, and I mean the ones in good condition. Cannot sell his old toys - again good condition. and forgot to list my empty cartridges this weekend. DOH!
That was mentioned (about risk of theft / insurance) and there is a "contract" that both parties agree too, and can include a deposit (in case they do a runner / dont pay etc) which the person offering sets - might be worth another look - the woman I mentioned earlier had also put some of her childrens toys on there. :D

I'm a bit deflated as a girl (I say girl, she's mid 30's) at work has made some quite sarcastic and nasty comments about my time/finishing position today and it's quite hurt my feelings. She's not a runner and has never done anything like that before so I'm wondering if it's just jealousy but whatever her reasons I'm quite taken aback by it, so it was really nice coming on here and reading the positive comments from you guys :o made me think 'f u, jealous biartch I did good':o :j
That's so uncalled for Sweets !!! People like that just make me feel like doing this .... :wall::wall::wall::wall: to them (where's the one with the baseball bat when you need it ?) :rotfl:

..... you have a year to train.... or longer depending where you want to run your marathon.

I know of runners who have said it is addictive, but it is the adrenalin rush you get, the feel good factor :D

Someone I used to work with used to go all over the world to run marathons!

Yes, London Marathon in 7 months

Think the bigger picture is, it doesnt matter what time you did it in, if you walked, were dragged or you ran...you did it for charity because your a worthwhile human being who thinks of others in need. I REALLY detest people like that, sadly I have to see girls like this everyday in the smallminded, pretentious town I live in. People have been vile to me all week and I have learnt that thick skin is needed.

Sorry to rant but I really have had a mere of a week. I leave my 18month old in the car whilst I collect my foster daughter from a contact centre(10 metres away from the centre) I was left waiting to collect her for 10 mins whilst her parents messed around knowing I had Fifi in the car. I finally got back to the car to be met with 3 builders accusing me of leaving her for 30mins. I had to fight them all off and justify myself, I gave up and drove away in the end. I thought that was the last of it...until I was pulled over my the police. Luckily for me the copper was my next door neighbour and he said builders had rang them to say a child had been neglected. I explained the situ and he was happy and said that he'd scrap it and hear no more of it. I was livid by this point, went home and found 10 voicemail messages from my social worker demanding to know what happened. Again, I explained and he was satisified but told me that Im to take my child into the centre when I pick up my foster daughter. I point blank refuse. I dont want my child to EVER meet these low life scum that I come into contact with daily and if I can protect her from it, I will.

I have had degrading comments all week from stangers. I push around a double pushchair with my 18month old and a 12 week old baby, and my 7yr old son walks beside me. The amount of people who look down at me and say nasty comments is unreal. Im 25 but look a bit younger and they think this gives them the right to preach. Oooh large bottle of wine needed!
