I have just paid off 1 more CC debt which has 0% offer ending at the end of this month. I now have 2 others at 0% and 1 which is incurring interest and is my next target. Can someone please explain what snowballing is? I think I "get it" - but just want to check.2015 £2 Saver #82

I think that's the right link anyway! If not, I'm sure Aesop will correct me!
It will work out which debts you should pay off in what order so that it works out cheapest for you. So basically the process is to pay the minimums on all cards/debts except one that you throw any extra at, which will be the one with the highest interest rate. Then once that is clear you overpay the next highest etc.
The calculator on that site will work out how long it will take you to clear everything and how much it costs if you overpay X amount a month etc.
(I think!!)
Nat - what a horribly difficult situation. Like you say, it really does make you wonder about the 'system' when things like that happen. You would have thought that if her other children were in care, why should this young baby be any different. There are some people who just shouldn't be able to have children because they will not be able to provide what they need - as in the stability, support, development as well as material things that they need, yet so many people like this still have children anyway. It's lucky there are people like you in the world willing to give these children the life they deserve, as it's not their fault they were born into the situation that they are. To have a system in place that allows these poor innocent children to stay in this negative, destructive and often dangerous situation rather than in a loving home is just disgusting. And unfortunately more often than not just leads to a cycle where in 18 years time they end up having their own children taken away from them.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

I saved £3.05 on a 3 for 2 hair dye offer today, I switched to a cheaper brand aswell so it's a double saving. I'm going to count it cos it's something I would have bought anyway. Plus they gave me a £5 voucher for no7 stuff, I won't count that as it's not stuff I usually buy and I don't know if I'll use it.
I'm waiting on a few payments from ebay so hopefully have more to add laterOct £10 a day challenge £225.19/£310Sept £10 a day challenge: £272.13/£300Debt £1951.97/£21540 -

When you say withdrawing, is that from drugs as she's ended up addicted through her mother? Why on earth would the system take her away from a loving home and put her back into that situation? How sad. Not giving the poor lamb a chance
