Morning all.
Was bad news for !!!!! cat last night - she has cancer bless her.
But that should not be stopping me from getting on with things so.....today i shall be tackling measuring some windows which either need curtains or need linings which is the tadpole stage of getting the curtain fabric bought and then made (this bit i love doing, but its finding time).
For good measure i will also cook some homemade ready meals for the freezer, as starting work next week means i may not have the time to cook each evening. i make extra for my mum cos she lives by herself and eats appallingly.
Happy squishing - its friday £400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.

This morning another "tadpole" done finishing a garden job. However, it did take two and a half hours so it was a "froglet" maybe? The "reward" came whilst doing the task i.e. seeing nature, finishing the task and then coming in and reading interesting bits on this forum. I'll try doing another "frog" later today.
Sorry to hear about folks bad news.0 -
Good Afternoon Everyone. Just been catching up with you all via the threads - well it does seem that 'all life is here', doesn't it.
Sorry to hear about your cat iamsalt that is sad. We have 3 cats at the moment. I lost my elderly cat at the beginning of the year and a couple of years ago we lost Tilly (the healthiest of the lot or so I thought!) to Cancer. We still miss them. Let us know how things go ... I'll be thinking of you.
Well what can I say Lucyeff I certainly understand your strong feelings about the situation at school. I wasn't bullied at school but was never really accepted and really didn't make friends very easily. With my DD who is 5 and started Year 1 this year. I have chosen to let her make her own friends. Fortunately she is a bright and bubbly little girl and seems to make friends very easily, but she can be a bit bossy too! She had a problem with a little girl at school and I went and spoke to the teacher. She was very good and helped DD to cope with the situation. However children choose who their friends are and your little Titch may decide that she doesn't actually want to be bossed about and drift off back to her own age group. The teacher also told me that girls are very !!!!!y and much worse than boys!! If you can stand back from the situation that would be good. At the weekend you could sit down with your two girls and if you can have a talk about the situation and see how the land lies. Then on Monday try and have a chat with the little uns teacher and get their support. Let us know how you get on.
dannie you are doing well, you are picking off your frogs well and proper.
monnagran I think typing out a knitting pattern, would probably drive me crazy ... knit 1 purl 1, knit 1 purl 1 ...:rotfl:
themadvix - you are very welcome to pop in whenever you fancy. I have to say this is the thread for me. I actually get things done so it is a good pladce to be and also like the way that folk actually acknowledge your existence and everyone is very kind.
mo2 - have you taken that picture yet? Have you? Have You? Is that too nuch nagging ....;) You'll be so happy once you have got that item on and think of the money - yippee!
Well I had a very busy day yesterday. Two mystery shopping visits and too very long walks for the dog, by the coast! It was really lovely. Visits took minutes and I got to go and look at the sea. I am so proud of myself as I was going to put these two froggies off for today, but decided not too as the weather was good and today it is raining!! So my new mantra don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
Today I have been very lazy but I know my limits now and it works well for me.
My friend had her op yesterday and I managed to get to see her Wednesday night. She was great. She is very down to earth and has a good sense of humour so she was fine. I was so relieved. Hopefully she will be home soon and we can go round and see her. Her DD is 5 and seems to be coping very well. My friend has a very good family who all rally round. Thank you for all your kind words. It really helped as it came out of the blue.
Anyway - big frog ahead - my DD bedroom - I promised so I must do.
Hope your day is going well and the frogs aren't jumping about too much. xFootball Widow :footie:

Yes I have - I've taken about 6 actually of different things so will list them over the weekend. Still got more to do but I've been putting off doing this [STRIKE]for a year or so[/STRIKE] for a day or two - hopefully now I've got started I'll be able to keep going .... but I may need occasional kicks up the bum!
Hope your friend will be home soon and will recover quickly; how lucky she is to have good friends to help her.
iamsalt sorry to hear about your cat bless her. I'm sure we will 'speak before next week, but if not good luck for work next week.
OK, I really mustn't stop any longer as got little bits and bobs to do but just thought I'd pop on here really quickly.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
iamsalt sorry to hear about your cat.
Great to hear about everyones successful frog eating.
I ate my frog for today :j:jBusiness filing.:j:j. I now have a floor in the study so I decided to hoover it and clear the whole study. :rotfl::rotfl:I have been having a manic flying day.
Reward - bill my clientsGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
iamsalt: oh, poor you. I lost two cats within 10 days to cancer a couple of years ago. They weren't that old either. The third cat I had then, lived to almost 20. It is so upsetting isn't it? I felt terrible because the vet said that my precious ginger puss must have been in pain for sometime, but apparently cats don't show it.
Frogwise nothing is happening at the moment because things keep turning up that demand immediate attention, which blows all my good intentions out of the window.
However, I have a stash of cooking that has to be done this evening because its the only spare time I have before Sunday evening when it's required.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Also yesterday for a "tadpole" task, I made a start with some decluttering. A "froglet" job was making some jam as the fruit had been in the fridge at least one month and I kept worrying it would perish. The "reward" is how much the person I gave it to is enjoying it.
Thanks for your encouragement Football Widow although I think I've slowed down quite a bit with dealing with the "frogs". If I do not go out today, I hope to use time more effectively.0 -
Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts about Pixie. I was a bit teary yesterday, but got on with things and had a fab time at drama auditions - i am directing Alice in Wonderland in the village hall and some people were just so funny they had me crying with laughter.:rotfl:
I also did my measuring so just need to find fabric and lining - lining i tend to wait for the offcuts in shops to be sold off cheaply and by them as and when so i think i have enough for the little window already - thats on the way to being snug this winter.
Today I am feeling the fresh start vibe - OH is away for the weekend so i need to clear out my car before it gets notified as a bio-hazard! i don't know why i don't look after it properly - apparantly cars last longer if you do!!:o:o Special treat a DVD and bowl of raspberries picked from the garden
Dannie - it is so rewarding to do things like that - i don't like jam, but make plenty for others because they enjoy it so much.
Hope all are ok and managing. Every little thing done seems to relieve the 'i should be doning that' worrying in my brain as well as crossing it off my to do list.

iamsalt - Yes, it was rewarding making the jam. It was a break from doing the "bad frogs"; those that linger in the back of my mind. As you say, even small "frogs" completed provide some relief.0

Hi all
Hope you are all having a good day with whatever you have chosen to do. Haven't started on DD's bedroom yet, but have started on the Food Budget Spreadsheet, it really is eye opening to see how much we spend on individual items. Hoping we can make a few adjustments to reduce our costs a bit.
Not a great day here weather wise. Our house is old (1902) and I have made a pledge not to put on the gas fire until we really need it as it was on a lot whilst Grandad was here, hate to think how much it will cost us , not that mind really as he is 90 and I do miss him not being here. Anyway sat here feeling very chilly, but it is a good incentive to get going on some other Frogs whilst DD is playing with her friend and DH is out playing football. Going to rescue the guinea pigs from the rain in a bit. But very happy to say that our tortoise 'Bertie' had a poo today just by me taking time out to give him lots of warm baths. He hadn't been for so long I was getting very worried - that is a huge FROG done today for both of us!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyhow big FROG for next week DD's bedroom. Have started sorting out her winter clothes too, bless her I think she may need a few more bits. Need to find out if our garden blower works since the rabbit chewed through the cable and two mystery shopping visits to do. Along with that I plan to deep clean the bathroom and shower room. So not much to do really.
Hope you are all well x
p.s. my friend is doing really well. Thanks for all the kind words.Football Widow :footie:
