  • What's great about this thread is the accountability it brings!

I'm doing lots following the declutter thread again and blitzed the kitchen yesterday which was almost unusable!

    Frogs/froglets/toads
Declutter 10 things from the most cluttered areas today to charity / recycle/ bin
Declutter/sort the bedroom for 15 minutes
Start packing my bag for next work trip soon.
    Go to Homebase.

Reward = TK Maxx visit :) and a nap :)
I love this thread :) It's so nice to see people progressing through stuff whilst dealing with all manner of stuff. Cheers to us!

Well I did all of the above. My friend helped me completely sort the bedroom - it was hard going but so worth it. I'm still catching up on washing and getting rid of stuff as I go.

Keep going everyone, doesn't matter how large or small our successes are - it's all about pushing this stuff along.

Well. all frogs safely in bed by now, completely undisturbed by me! It's been one of those days when the unexpected kept happening and I've achieved nothing. Never mind, tomorrow is another day and other useless platitudes.

  • So sorry I've not kept up to date with the thread :o
Haven't made massive inroads with my frogs but just taking lots of small bites.
Today I def uttered DS underwear drawer, he had oodles of pants that just weren't being worn. Unsurprisingly many of them are a bit small so sorted those out and passed them onto school, let's face it you cant have too many spares of pants when it comes to 4 and 5 year old boys LOL likewise did the same with his sock drawer and again school had the cast offs.
Decluttered a couple of items from DD wardrobe and drawers. Some to eBay, some to charity/rag bag. Also went through DS toy box and picked out some toys to get rid of. Now have a small mountain of items to eBay and it's piled in our bedroom :(
Bagged up charity clothes so I shall take those to clothing bank tomorrow with recycling I think.
Only baby stepsmbut boy do I feel better about starting them.

Hi all. Time is getting short to complete my six "frogs" and three "froglets" before the end of today. The "rewards" should have been nine and not my to be issued two. Anyway if necessary, I'll continue tomorrow with any not done alongside new "tadpole" ideas.

Yesterday, I worked upon two "froglets" in the kitchen whilst using the oven; stopping and starting to some extent. It was hazardous doing two things at once but I did finish one "froglet" which was tidying up from a painting task.

Thanks for sharing your particular "frogs".

    :j:jHUGE FROG EATEN:j:j

Such a nice morning I decided to procrastinate on the hoovering and attack the garden. All the plastic veg trays that had got blown about, the pots that cracked in the frost LAST winter, all cleared up. Various bits collected from places they weren't supposed to be, and veg bags organised for clearing once I have room in the green bin. It only took me 1/2hr and its been sitting there staring at me since February.:o

    Now must hoover:(

I'm so glad of this thread today! I had big plans, as the youngest pup was out for the day being spayed. Typical that she is having a blimming phantom pregnancy and can't be done today, and so my plans of blitzing her manky bed and cleaning the carpet and other things that I can't get done with a livewire dog jumping on my head are up the creek. I've only just gotten home from dropping kids off and having to pick the dog back up from the vets so it feels like a morning wasted. :( She seems happy about it mind you! And it does explain her being sick and her boobs scraping the floor, thankfully!

Anyway, all these post about putting up lovely door curtains and tidying gardens (gulp, that one made my palms sweat!) have given me my kick up the bum. I am going to do the last few bits of washing (huge frog for me that on - involves clothes that need mending and socks that are very odd), then go for my fringe trimming, which I've been putting off for ages. I cut it with the kitchen scissors in a rush at the weekend and I am conscious that I look a little !!!!!!. It has only worked once before when I've done that, and I've done it a dozen times since and it has been terrible. I don't why I don't just let the hairdressers do it, it's free for a fringe trim anyway!

Hope you are all having a better day than mine has been so far!

Well done Lucyeff - stay strong!!!!

Started on another frog as been up in the loft for an hour with DS - thrown away a big black bin liner of rubbish, found some stuff for the CS and even something to sell on ebay so pretty good. As DH is such a major hoarder I've put his old clothes to one side for him to look at; he'll go schizo if I even touch them. I hope he gets rid of them.

Confession time - haven't take a picture of anything to sell BUT I have been trimming the hedge in the front garden and playing Pirates with DS - does that make up for it?!!! ;)

  • Hi all

Bit of a strange day today. Grandad has gone home! Found out a very close friend has to have a hysterectamy tomorrow, so going up to see her tonight in hospital. She is only in her 40s! I am feeling very upset about it especially as her DD is the same age as mine.

Did a couple of tadpoles today as well as earning a few pounds.

Just wanted to pop in and catch up with everyone. Wow people are getting organised.

Still haven't put the washing away, but at least it is all done (apart from Grandad's bedding)

Just got to start painting DD bedroom as promised ... now where is my paintbrush ... x

Football Widow sorry to hear about your friend, best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.

Major row with DH when he got in cos I'd thrown out some of his stuff :mad::mad::mad:. Sick and tired of it.

    Next tadpole: get ironing done
