Anyone had any luck with t-mobile.

Just they are offering the wildfire S instead, which (as you all know) is an inferior phone. I'm not willing to accept that, hence (as you also all know) they need to provide the 'same or better'.

What have people managed to get from them? Any one?

They dont 'need' to provide anything.
They can simply say out of stock, sling your hook ;)
They have made an offer to you, you can either accept or decline
its really that simple, t-mobile arent going to be too fussed not taking a
customer who they will be losing money on..

Is the Wildfire S not the same or better? It has better reviews than the Ace.

It's not my fault they took the contract to supply.

They have made an offer to supply, I took that offer, they confirmed the contract but now want to not supply goods. I'm not backing down and taking inferior goods. If tesco's delivery sent you a bottle of value gin, but charged you for gordons. You'd be unhappy.

    Hence I have 4 options

    1) Wait 30 days from purchase and cancel contract. However t-mobile may be liable for differential from their deal to cheapest alternative, which is £517.32.

    2) Insist they either reduce monthy cost/ give cash sweetner and accept wildfire S.

    3) Insist on phone which is the 'same or better'.

    4) Get rammed up the bottom by not having a wife who works in contracts and going with what Snakeeyes21 says.

The issue I have is the wildfire S is fine in all things apart from processor speed. 600 instead of the galaxy ace's 800. When we have a play in the vodaphone store, this was very noticable, hence my reason for not accepting something 'worse'.

anyways, they have offered me an HTC Wildfire S on the same cost, with extra call minutes too.. h

    Hi,

I signed up the other day and agreed to the wildfire S. But wasn't offered any more minutes (which I could really do with!). How many minutes did you get on top of the 600?

    Cheers.

Hi abaxas, did they not offer you anything else , they gave me the choice of HTC Wildfire S or Sony Xperia Mini Pro. I think it has a 1ghz processor but don't know about other features.

The person I was ordering for actually wanted the Wildfire so I just went for that.

If they cannot give you something equivalent you can always cancel !!

    Quidco tracked within minutes
  • I signed up to the T-Mobile deal through Quidco which initially offered the Galaxy Ace on the 20 plan at £10.42 per month (24 months - 50% discount) plus £40 cashback. Like posters above I was then rang by a CS rep and offered the HTC Wildfire S in place of the Galaxy Ace which I accepted. I received an email from T-mobile confirming the contract number and the monthly amount £10.42

I received my first bill from Tmobile today asking for £20.42. I rang them as it should have been £10.42.

The CS reps were adamant at first that the discount should be done via Quidco. After explaining to them that it was not a redemption offer I then had to email my Tmobile confirmation to them to prove that the monthly charge said £10.42 on it. In my opinion, this proved my contract was with T-mobile and not Quidco.

After much to-ing and fro-ing with CS rep and their bosses they finally agreed to discount my monthly charge by 50% for the 24 month contract.

Now..... if they were inundated with orders for the Galaxy Ace and they sold out of it...... surely they are going to have a whole load of customers querying their first bill like myself and a lot of unhappy people arguing this point.

Interesting to hear if anyone else has had same problems
