To be honest the whole offer system is a mess. All this nonsense about registering and waiting for a code to come. RSH could be grabbing tens of thousands of new accounts and only giving vouchers to the first ten thousand. Nice way for them to boost numbers and "report" how successful they are.
I really feel this type of offer is on a wing and a prayer. I would prefer it if you got a code straight away on completion of registration. Once the 10,000 have gone then the webiste should indicate the offer is finished allowing you to decide whether to register or not.
Instead people register and register and register (some using multiple email addresses) and it becomes one big joust for a limited number of codes.
RSH are probably happy because operating this type of promotion has probably got them well over 100,000 new registrations for something that has cost them £100,000 i.e. less than £1 per new registrant.
And they cannot lose.....so many people are attracted by a promotion like this (me included) that the numbers will stack up and up.0 -

Thanks for the thanks!
Just checked our 2 new accounts (little wifey and mine) and they've got the £10 evoucher too now.
Don't know whether the offer is still running - though the linked page is still live, so if anyone hasn't tried it there might (or might not!) still be some available. Link is http://www.redspottedhanky.com/telegraph/
For those who want to check they've got the evoucher, go to RSH main site (http://www.redspottedhanky.com/) login in (top right 'Loyalty/Account'), click back on 'Loyalty/Account after logging in and then click the evoucher link on the left hand side.0 -

Which reminds me, the abbreviated expiry doesn't give a year, but the offer page states "e-vouchers may be redeemed until Dec 31st 2012."0 -

all the train booking sites that use this system (east coast included) do the same thing, i also find it annoying but once you've booked a few times you just get used to it0
