Evening all
Had a kind of lazy today. Got up early with H2B who does a 5k run every saturday ( it's our local parkrun, they've got them all over the country ) looked out the window and saw the rain and thought nah I'm staying in bed. Lay there for a few minutes and thought well I'm awake so may as well go so got my gear on and went. Surprisingly the rain didn't really bother me, though I've been struggling with my running lately but hey it's only 30 minutes out of my day and at least it's a bit of exercise! Came back rather soaked and caked in mud so had a nice long soak in the bath. Eventually got ready about lunch time and H2B took me out for lunch which was nice. There's a little italians about a 5 minute drive from where we are that do a 3 course lunch special for £7.99 so I had potato skins with garlic mayo dip for starter and a bolognese pizza for main. I skipped the ice cream as I was stuffed! Think it came to just under £20 with a couple of cokes so not bad at all!
Then popped to Mr A's to get a couple of bits and pieces in then came back home and went and had a nap for a couple of hoursI've not been sleeping great this week so was just so tired and think I needed it to be honest. Haven't done much of anything else, while I was asleep H2B got the dishes done and some washing on, still got things I need to get done though so off to do that in a bit. H2B is paintballing tomorrow for his stag do so I've got 6 of his mates descending on the house first thing and they're going off together so need to make sure the house is in some sort of order. Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow, if the weathers anything like it's been today I think I'll just want to stay home so might potter round the house a bit. Starting to feel the cold now, the dreaded heating may have to go on soon
Hope those of you who are feeling poorly feel better soon, hugs to those who need them. I did read all the thread and planned on responding to people but I've promptly forgot everything!
Take care all xGoing to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!
Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011

Evening all,
Been a drizzly day here, not warm so OH has lit the fire in the LR...I have put a wrap on to keep me warm here, will light a fire in winter as we have so much firewood but not going to waste it at this stage of the year!
Happy birthday Rosyred.
Went out for breakfast with DD4 this morning, we didn't feel like dinner so had 'anti-pasti' as OH is a sucker for salami and cheeses, had some artichoke hearts, avocado and some left over bolognese sauce....cold and a handful of our cherry tomatoes each....nice for a change.
NPM, hope that you feel better soon, rest as much as you can.
Have really done very little to-day, watered the greenhouse as there are tomatoes (sowed late), squash, peppers and courgettes in there and they need their water....nice not to have to buy any tomatoes at present, they taste so nice.
Not a long weekend here, our bank holiday is first Monday in August so schools which are not already open will do so on Monday, DD4 back since last Wednesday.
Going to join OH in nice warm living room and get on with my cushion covers....started them months ago and then gave up to do something else, but living room is looking very shabby so hope that I keep going this time.
Hester, can sympathise with your hand problem, have occasional MTS in right hand and now have what my doctor calls 'trigger finger' in middle finger and thumb of left hand....he didn't dare suggest that I lose weight as I would have floored him, bad hands or not.
Enjoy your weekend everybody, hugs to those in need or want of one, stay well and safe

I'm a little bored. OH is still out and i've not spoken to a soul all day! Puppy is snoozing on me, i might take him out after xfactor.
But i have secured myself a 2nd hand breadmaker for £5! Can't wait to pick it up, I know OH isn't a fan of breadmakers, but i've always wanted one.
Have finally managed to make a shopping list - i think i'll manage my £100 budget for September if i am sensible.
Going to have a read of my book and watch telly nowAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

I've had to admit defeat and put the heating on, its got to the point where its been so wet nothing was drying in or out. So its staying on for an hour or so then its going straight off.
Managed to burn the buns for tomorrowso we only have half a loaf now. No matter i'll have to make some in the morning.
Also spilt black ink all over me, typical, tried one of those ink refill packs and failed miserably. Ah well i'll have another go tomorrow.
Well going to make a cuppa, watch clone wars (the cartoon ) and get them to bed.0 -
Evening, all.
Funny sort of day today. Restless night then got up early to wake DS up for his early start at the charity shop (Duke of Edinburgh thingie) , then DD woke up and that was the day started. OH slept in because he'd had three 5.30 am starts this week, so I got the daily chores done then took DD out to a jumble sale. She came away with a pile of old costume jewelry to break for beads plus a bagful of other bits for her £2, I bought a gorgeous duvet cover and pillow case for her room (£1), a terracotta egg holder in the shape of a chicken (£1) and a cushion, some books and a mug for another couple of pounds. Also a tent...my nieces had wanted to borrow a tent to go to festivals this summer but I'd said no...all my tents are too good to be trashed at festivals, sorry! So when I spotted this one I pounced on it. It's a perfectly sound little 3-man tent, in excellent condition, decent brand and currently pitched in the garden to check the waterproofing. It's peeing down outside so it's going to get a good check, belive me! Oh, and it cost £2 too. I was pleased, but not half as pleased as they'll be with me.
DD and I had taken sandwiches so we went to the beach to eat them and collect shells, then back to the house. made soup, bread, found some meatballs in sauce in the fridge for dinner then watched a film with DD while she played with her junk. She's just gone off to bed...where did the day go???? DS isn't even home yet...OH has gone to collect him after a concert in town.Val.0 -

Anyone know how to get playdoe out of carpets ?
Hope you all have a good weekend.
I think you need to put an ice block (frozen) and then chip it away like you would chewing gum.
Flutterby - Hope your housewarming went well and really pleased about finding a doctor who can help you xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
