Morning all,
Made Dh's packed lunch and sorted out my rollers, brushes etc as I'm going to paint DD1's bathroom. Since I took v early retirement from Painting/decorating I hate doing it now but DD & DH can't paint to save their lives, it looks like they have put the paint on with a fork !!
DH will continue to tile, just hope we can both work without tripping over eachother.
I've sliced up carrots, peppers, spring onions etc to make a chinese chicken dish and egg fried rice and spicey noodles for tonights dinner. Just a quick stir fry to do when we get home.
Worn out after having DGD2 since Fri am, she went home at 7 last night and the place looked like a wherling dervisher (sp) had been here.
Anyone know how to get playdoe out of carpets ?
Hope you all have a good weekend.0 -
Morning all,
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Rosyred have a fab day xxxx
Bright and sunny here, I have a wash on, and another to do, I have to plan them for when the water is on, as OH keeps turning it off to do various bits.
I had a bath last night, there are no tiles on the walls, bare floor, and A bit of cardboard up at the window (we have taken the blind down) it was the best bath I have ever had, and being 5ft 11 I can almost stretch out full length :T
Today we are going to start utting the tiles up, it will start looking proper then, unfortunatly we have had to order a new sink as the other one is HUGE and dominated the bathroom, so that will hold us up a little bit, the other one will be sold.
Dinner tonight is jacket spuds with various fillings, there is some of the Indain takeaway left from last night. DD will have pasta, as she is not keen on jackets.
DD and I took the dog over the fields the other day, and managed to pick about 1lb of blackberrys, littledog was so funny, she was picking the blackberrys straight from the bush, and eating them, she must have had 30, they have not made an appearence the other end yet, but I am sure they will
Moorhen, have a fabby day xxx
Dr who tonight :j:j:j
Have good days all xx

Hi there. Hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.
It's been a weird 24 hours over here.
Our EH and his gf have gone back north for a week or so. She had a job interview yesterday, so fingers crossed. They found somewhere to live, but are waiting to see if their tenancy application has been accepted.
Then at lunchtime I got a text from a friend to say that her mum , J, (who had relatively stable throat cancer), had gone into multiple organ failure early Friday morning. J died about 8pm last night. We've been in text contact, but have left it at that, as I know she'll be up to her eyes in extended family.
I don't feel like doing much outside the house today- we're still very cluttered and I need to start gettting my head the fact that sch--l is looming fast on the horizon. DH is having a Playstation moment upstairs, as while I wouldn't swop him for all the world, he doesn't always pick up when I really need to be quiet and on my own.
Hope everyone has a good day, and manages to make the most of the weekend.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Good morning all hugs to all that need/want them.
Having a lazy morning today with the kids infront of the tv whilst i browse mse and drink coffee. Washers on though going to crack on and prepare lunch toad in the hole and do some baking fairy cakes etc to take to a family bbq monday making use of the oven whilst its on. Proper full cooked lunch today as Dr Who starts back up tonight so kids will probably want pizza or such like to veg infront of the tv with.
Hoping the rain holds off to dry this washing on line and so kids can run round the garden mind if its raining out come the wellies as yesterday they drove me nuts in the house all day muck washes and all that.Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Does everyone have one of those days when you would definetly been better off staying in bed.
Woke up early and feeling very positive.
Did load of washing and hung out. Sorted fridge and leftovers.Lunch and dinner sorted. Breadmaker on.
Bathroom and kitchen cleaned.
Lookied out of window and washing on floor. Line broken.
Went out to rescue and heard almighty great crash from kitchen.
BM had vibrated itself off unit, rescued dough but plug on BM is smashed.Have taken plug off an old toaster and fitted it,BUT I
am scared to try it because if it does not work I just know I am going to cry.
Very tempted to get back into bed but need to go and buy a new washing line. Going to go now and will try BM when I get back, hopefully in a better frame of mind.Slimming World at target0
