Are your free minutes on your mobile free I thought you had to have a contract to get them.

On my mobile contract I get 600 minutes inclusive. Plus I get free unlimited calls to UK landlines within the package and unlimited texts. All for £15 per month with 02.

Unlimited call to lands lines from BT £4.90 a month

Nothing is free you are paying £15 for the contract. For some people the BT deal plus, pay as you go works out a much better deal for others it doesn’t but it’s not free you are paying in both cases.

Sorry to disagree, but I pay 02 £15 for 600 minutes to landlines and UK mobiles plus unlimited texts. I then get a 'free' bolt on of my choice - and I selected unlimited landline calls.

It's just as free as BT's free evening and weekend deals.

Exactly and if you didn’t have the original contract you wouldn’t get the free add on, the add on is built it the price they charge. I’m not saying the deal is bad for you I would imagine it’s very good but no telecom company is going to give you something for free.

I am of an age where I do know that no company gives you 'awt for nowt'.

Just phoned BT re these price increases and did the 'what can you do for current customers' routine and was immediately offered a credit of £36 on my account. Unlike last time I did this, I had to take a new 12 month contract from today, but as I'm only 2 months into the current one anyway, it didn't seem like too much bother.

I was also advised that (apparently) customers can ring every 12 months for this and get the same £36 discount applied each time.

    Hi

Does anyone have a link to the BT announcement or the page that details ALL the price changes?

    Thanks

its about time bt came up with a radical rethink of its tariffs for lines, calls & broadband.

With the current idea of just hiking prices without offering nothing for customers, everyone will just leave for the competition...there are much better deals with sky...o2...virgin etc
