This is the next stage after administration and means there is not enough money left to pay debts so everyone thinking the worst is now right.
[/FONT]I too ordered at the end of March and didn't receive the goods. I think the despatch/delivery date emails are a way for Vie to take payment. If they haven't paid suppliers then delivery won't be made even if the goods are somewhere in a warehouse in Germany.
If your order is under £100 and on a credit card or any amount and on a debit card (online or via a consultant), use the Chargeback scheme - Martin's site gives us a template letter (thanks team!). http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/visa-mastercard-chargeback
It's not as well known as credit card refunds but will apparently often work. For those who paid cash or cheques to consultants I'm not sure what to suggest but if card orders can go via the banks this should reduce everyone's pain and stress.
As for other pale foundations a friend who is an ex-Vie-consultant likes Bare Minerals which I think is available from Debenhams if you want a look before ordering online. Matching colours is tricky.
Until you find an alternative, there's always Ebay or other discount outlets.
Hope that helps.
Feeling the pinch but trying to bring down that mortgage - thank heavens for MSE.com!

I did a chargeback for a Peacocks voucher when they were in administration via Capital one credit card. They claimed via Peacocks bank.
it was £20 and I was successful.0 -
It still sounds fairly positive on netmums. I really hope the consultants are told whats going on very soon and orders and monies are sorted out. I know people tend to be loyal to the Company they are with but something like this happens if they don't keep people informed promptly it can do a lot of damage.

There's finally a message on the website today:
Vie Cosmetics Group Limited trading as Vie at Home has been placed into administration.
NWA, the company’s holding company, which owns the “Vie at Home” brand is committed to fulfilling all outstanding orders.
We would, however, hope that customers can be patient with us whilst this happens as this may take us a short while to fulfil all orders.
Please check back here from time to time as we will post updates on this website on our progress.

Hi
Just to let you know I have received 2 out of my 3 orders this morning, hoping the 3rd will arrive in the next couple of days.
Never thought I'd see the day!0 -

I came across this forum by accident, and I have to say I am not in the least bit surprised.
I was a consultant for Vie early on when the make-up and skincare was second to none. I remember having a bit of a debate with Ros Simmons over the commission rates, the rubbish jewellery that they were forcing makeup consultants to sell via their mixed product catalogues and the replacing of top selling makeup for cheap rubbish. I was told that the jewellery was wonderful (I must have imagined all of those complaints and lost customers), and consultants made a fortune.
It appears what the company has done is continue to take money up to the point they shut the doors, which unfortunately is not illegal. We live in a corrupt society that allows these companies to trade in this manner without recourse, and it is always the public and staff that get shafted
As an accountant, I have yet to see a party plan company where consultants actually make a living, these companies tend to wrap things up in a lovely bow, when in reality there are actually a lot of hidden expenses and consultants are lucky to receive minimum wage, which is why these companies keep their consultants as self-employed, so, again, no recourse. They just blame the consultant for not working hard enough at their 'business', when in reality the money is just not there to be made.0 -

You may be a newbie, but I totally agree with everything you've said!0 -
