Virgin Vie?

Options
I heard a rumour this week that Virgin Vie have gone into administration - I feel so bad for all the people that this affects. Are there many people on here affected? Did you guys get a bit of warning or anything?

It's all rumours! Vie was in trouble but has been bought by a German Multi millionaire with years of experience in party plans. We are now able to sell even more products than before and are getting more commision too.
The rumours seem to be being spread by employees of other party plan companies trying to cash in on recruitment bonuses, like I said though we're now in a better place and so anyone that was going to jump ship would have already done so!

  • Vie at home is officially in administration unable to pay their suppliers.

Currently trading to limit the damage of what they owe, the National distribution Centre in Stockton on Tees is set to close with the loss of Jobs.

Vie at Home Sales representatives will also complete the mass of job losses.

Secretly leaked in the beginning of August 2011 it was unable to pay its debts, an 80% off Super Summer Sale is set to clear the last remaining stock.

Vie has had 3 or 4 names since it started. The liquidation process is something to do with the previous names (It was explained fully to us-but I can't remember the ins and outs and the legal reasons). The company going forward as owned by Herr Spikker is not in liquidation. Herr Spikker has lots of experience regarding buying companies in trouble and turning them around, so fingers crossed Vie will continue to go from strength to strength under his guidance.
There are some big changes being made, lots of products being discontinued (hence the sale). When Herr Spikker sent his team in to the warehouse to asses before the move to Germany there were millions of pounds of unsold stock, so he has decided to streamline the range and sell the things that were not selling at bargain prices. The new catalogue is being launched on Saturday.
I can say for certain that if Herr S hadn't have stepped in and bailed the company out, it would no longer exist, but he has done a good job of reassuring everyone about the future!

  • Vie at home Ltd. have filed for liquidation, owing their suppliers £2.6million

Every penny they owe is public information and is available online (sorry i'm a new user so can't post a direct link (maybe someone else can?? its on viewer dot zoho dot com/docs/zGddaH:)

NWA have left the suppliers high and dry and now sell the products through the company Vie Cosmetics Group Ltd.

It may be legal but not a very moral way to run a business for a supposedly multi-billionare IMO?

The company also just 'wrote off' millions of £s worth of suppliers when they closed the shops.

As a tax payer i think it's disgusting that they can just ditch £674k due in tax and business rates let alone all of the suppliers!
