The OP isn't committing fraud though. She would only be doing that if she were living with the father, which she isn't.pipkin71 wrote:you have said yourself on another thread "I've got nothing against people receiving benefit for as long as they want if they want to but not if they are doing it fraudulently."2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
The girl who started this thread was asking for simple advice, I was interested so read on. I am so shocked by how this thread is turning into an excuse for people to winge and moan about others and be judgemental about other peoples posts.
I used to think these forums were friendly and non-judgemental, what is happening?0 -

Sorry but it's always been like this. You've been going on the wrong threads.sunsetgirl wrote:I used to think these forums were friendly and non-judgemental, what is happening?2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -
sunsetgirl wrote:Not at all but there have been other more personal comments which have been uncalled for.
And non of the personal comments have been aimed at the OP. People have tried to help, but there is a certain person who despite everything thats said still accuses us of bullying and still states the OP is infact single which 90% can quite clearly see, the OP is not single, even the OP herself stated shes not!
If theres one way to get peoples backs up its telling someone how to defraud our own tax money. Non of it was aimed at the OP. All aimed at black saturns drivel about the OP being single even though they live between houses, OP states shes not in any way single, and every time we come up with a counter argument, were told were bullies!? Go figure.
Nicities start to become a bore when your being constantly told your wrong and a bully.
EDIT: Look at the above, another snide comment to try and start more.
It's called trying to get peoples backs up.
I suppose being called blinkered <insert swear word here> is acceptable and not a personal comment? Funny that. I will remember that in future.
Who wants to see the OP in prison? Her kids without a mum, or her kids dissadvantaged because their mum has been caught out and now had to repay it all back which will take a lifetime.
Not me, which is why all I can do is put forward that its fraud, plain and simple and to get it sorted.
She is not single, regardless of how many times black saturn tells us all that if they are not joined at the hip 24 hours a day she is infact single.0 -
It was posted quite a few pages back, forgive me for not taking time to quote the posters name, that the most sensible and responsible way forward anyone who is in a similar situation as skintio, is to pop along to their local benefits office and say "this is my situation, these are all the facts, can you confirm that this matches what you have on my record. Is there anything else I need to tell you and if I decide in the future to do this, or that, can you advise me exactly that would effect my finances. Is there anything else I am eligible to receive?"
That's what I would do, in person, not over the phone.Integrity is a dying art!:p0 -

She would also be committing fraud if she wasn't living with the father but he was providing financially for the baby.
OP suggested "but hed never not help me with money and i know hell pay his way for the baby, Im not sure how itd work if we aren't living together about him paying financially, would it be child maintenance or would we work it out seeing as we're a couple but just live apart"
In the OP's situation I would discuss it with the DSS to be sure she is claiming everything she is entitled to. On income support application forms, there is a section where you give your address and your partner's address if it is different to your own. For the DSS, you don't have to be living with someone for them to be classed as your partner.
In any event, congratulations skintio, and I hope everything works out well for you.
Regards

Understand why it may seem like this, yes. The main reason it has got a little out of hand is because of mixed comments from the OP, if you look back at her previous posts in other threads, it is not at all the picture she has painted here. There are '2 sides' to this thread, both are in disagreement with the other, both think they are right. I hope my comments have not come across as being 'judgmental', but as a person who is not entiltled to claim anything, I find it a little annoying to read things that are quite honestly, contradicting from one thread to another. For example:skintio wrote:I am a single parent with a four year old daughter.
I live in a council house and get my rent and coucil tax paid, although i do have council tax arrears from a previous time. IMy boyf is very helpfull with money and helps me out, and has persuaded me to try and sort this out.. so round off applause to him :T
Especially when she has repeatadly denied the above that I have highlighted.
I have no problems with people in council houses, or who are claiming benefits. She could live in a cardboard box or a 10 bed mansion for all I care, what I do have a problem with is someone asking what else they are entitled to, when by the sounds of previous posts, frankly shouldn't be getting half of what she does in the first place. Another poster on here who used to be a Fraud Investigator has told her it could be seen as fraud, so if that is not hearing it from the horses mouth, then I don't know what is!
We are all going to have agree to disagree, no one thinks they are wrong. We are on a forum, which to me means an oppurtunity to openly discuss things, some things I'll agree with, other things I won't. This just happens to be one thing I don't agree with.

I do wish you would stop bullying lottee. What other things you not agree with?!

Well, Graham, could you please let me have the last word for starters...!
It's a shame it has got a little out of hand, but as I've said before, it's a very delicate subject IMO, & I honestly don't want to appear as a bully, but hey, I've been called worse! The world is full of people that don't agree on things, does that mean half the people in the world are bullying blinkered ******** ???!!! Thought not.
