Went to my first Zumba class last night - I loved it! It was really fun and made a change from my usual Aquafit class I attend on a Wednesday. I've bought a 10 week Zumba course through a Groupon deal so that will keep me going for the next 9 weeks. I could feel muscles I didn't even know I had last night so it must've been a good workout.
Did day 2 of the 30 day shred this evening - was slightly easier today so we shall see how I get on tomorrow
Am hoping all this extra cardio exercise will mean a nice loss on MondayOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -

Morning all. My weigh in day was yesterday but I didn't have time to post. I was exactly 150lb. So that is 4lb lost since the begining of September and 2 and a quarter pounds last week.:j I am really pleased. I am still wearing my "fat" clothes which doesn't make me feel good so I am hoping it will not be too long until I can get my trousers on again. I am still a stone heavier than I was last year and I was slightly overweight then but at least the trend is going the right way:D
I have a huge appetite so I never thought I would be able to cut down my food intake but so far so good. Now I just have to plan some meals for the weekend where hopefully everyone will enjoy the healthy food.
Anxious_mum. I too am 48 and know exactly what you mean by feeling invisable. If you are like me, your hormones are all over the place and I think this doesn't help with the way you feel. Also it seems so much harder to loose the weight now and so this makes you feel worse. It can seem to be a spiral of despair I don't have any advice really except fight back. One step at a time. I am having my haircut today as a reward for making a good start on my diet plan. As my weight lose continues, i hope, I will find myself other little treats(not food.) to make me feel better about myself. .....I am rambling. Just wanted you to know you are not alone IYSWIM.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -
An update on the treadmill. There was a feature on The One Show last night about an alternative running style where you land on the ball of your feet instead of the heels first. It's supposed to be less stressful on the joints. Bad knees run in my family anyway and mine have been dodgy for years but since I started running my ankles are now also dodgy lol. Anyway, I had a go at the new style and it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. It's certainly a more delicate style of running, and felt more natural. It's far too early to tell if my ankles will feel the benefit, just thought I'd mention it hereSmashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j0

I've given myself another challenge: to burn 2000 kcal until end of the month. I'll count calories from exercising only .0

Morning all!
I weighed myself today and have lost 2lb this week!! Very pleased with this, am hoping it doesnt pile on this weekend so im not drinking and have purposely not purchased any nice munchies for x-factor tonight.
I haven't done any exercise this week, but just eating a lot of fruit, a ham sandwich for dinner and a normal meal at night, no snacking.
