I'll post my start weight on the first as well. Im having a good day today, continuing the week as I started. Did 50 mins on my exercise bike this afternoon before work (something like 21km) and had cheerios and skimmed milk for breakfast, a soft boiled medium egg and 2 slices of toast for dinner. I work in a fast food restaurant so I've been making a point of getting up early to make a packed lunch/tea and a snack for later in my shift. Before I used to just eat the food here because it was free but ive put on about 7 pounds in 4 months so that has to stop, also I cant afford to buy my lunch everyday, plus the calories in a homemade sandwich are about half what you get in those premade ones. Today I made a corned beef sandwhich on wholemeal bread, a low fat yoghurt and an apple. And for my snack later I have a cereal bar and a banana.
I always walk to and from work, but not when I'm on late shifts as walking home at 1 in the morning is not a good idea. Usually my job is very active, 7 hours at least on my feet. Unfortunately today I'm in the kitchen so I'm stuck standing in once place all night. Extra working out tomorrow I think. Another thing I'm trying to do is drink much more water. I've tried researching this and it seems for every source claiming that drinking water helps weightless there's another disputing it. But the way I see it, it can't possibly hurt. I've decided to only drink water so I'm not drinking extra calories (with the exception of the milk with my cereal).

Does anyone else have any golden rules they are trying to stick to while losing weight?

Count me in please. I'll be doing my last August weigh in on Sunday - can I use that as my sw for September?
Oh and I also weigh after loo, before food...it may give the lightest reading but if that's what I do consistently then it will genuinely show losses or gains. If I weighed morning one week then evening the next it would change due to time of day not just food/exercise

Good to see you toottifrootti and ellay, here's hoping for a good September (all the holidays should be out of the way so we can knuckle down to weight loss!)

Youngone, I don't have any golden rules I'm afraid, just stick with it! (and in my case hope my thyroid medication works and the pain medication doesn't counter it :o)
