jhp is referring to the fact that 0800 calls are free.

This allows Giffgaff users to access any of the 0800 indirect override phone services - so using someone like Telesave would allow 1p per minute UK calls for example. There are loads of suppliers - 18866 etc have 0800 access designed for non-BT/cable landlines that giffgaff users can access for free.

That's another reason why giffgaff needs to change quickly.

Unlimited data being exploited, free giffgaff to giffgaff calls being exploited, free 0800 calls being exploited.

Orange and T-mobile (one2one as was) originally offered free 0800 calls, and tried their best to keep this going by attempting to "block" access numbers to phonecards and third party phone services, but gave up as it became impossible (and also very easy and cheap to have your own personal 0800 number).

Giffgaff will need to deal with these loopholes now that have a larger number of customers.

Am thinking of moving to GG but would want goodybags anyway so will see if these change.

They are going to do data only goodybags from October from what I've researched so might change the whole range when they come in.

There are no plans to rise the cost of the goodybags at the moment.
