HP Touchpad - Tesco not refunding the difference.

  • When the news of Tesco's refund policy was announced here, I got on to Tesco straightaway only to be told , quite firmly, that this was incorrect and that no refunds would be processed. I got off the phone angry and ready to warn everyone, only to find an email and a voicemail waiting for me announcing that my refund had been processed! This was followed 30 mins later by a callback and an apology from the agent who had denied the refund policy.

Slight hitch in that they initially only refunded me down to £161. So it took another phone call to sort this - they accepted this was simply human error and final price will be £115.

So, got there in the end. Every little helped.
  • Great news for all.

I'm enjoying the device too. The integration of accounts (Facebook, Skype, LinkedIn, etc...) into webOS is lovely! I've not ever used a piece of software that does it so well! However, I like many others am waiting for an Android port. Here's for hoping!

If only Misco would follow suit and start refunding everyone. They are still adamant on the pricing. All retailers have honoured the price drop except for Misco and Play.com.

Play.com being quite naughty sourced the touchpads from Dixons and sold them at full price. Apparently this has now voided any agreement they might have had with HP UK directly for the discounts or price drops.
