Yes Im aware of that now since having my meeting this morning! But what if they dont cease the order?

There should be no reason why they wont once the council instructs them - the one problem I've always found with attachment orders is that getting them stopped is easy, getting them started is the hard part.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

It's the council end im worried about! lol not my employers end! If the council drag their heels in getting my employer informed it could mean my following pay will also have the attatchment deducted as im paid fortnightly you see!

haha Scarlett you sound like me! lol apart from me being on the ball today for some reason i get like that when i know im finishing work for a couple of paid weeks off :D lol

Its going to be a long few days waiting now! lol i know its going to be a good result as my case worker told me so, but still can't wait for it to be finalised! lol

Definately feels like a friendly place on here, and its good to be surrounded by people who know what its like to be in this situation, there are a lot of people i know around me who really look down on me for getting in this situation :(

Oh dont you worry ill be shouting it from the roof tops!!! I've pretty much been in debt since i was 19! :( It all started with 1 loan when i was 18, then my mum had a nervous breakdown and went into the mental health system, my dad's been an alcoholic since as far back as i remember! When i was 19 my parents house was reposessed, i was signed off work sick for 10 months at the time, and being thrown into having to run a home, things spiralled out of control! I was living with my ex at this point. Anyway, because we both were paid differently and on different days and the hours i was working, i would give him the money to pay the bills....little did i know until we split up and actually got the post for the flat, he hadn't been paying them! Ive been living in overdrafts, another loan, a credit card and all sorts just to live! I work full time but my wages just about cover my day to day living for the month let alone making any payments to an debtors!

Ive had bailiffs break into my flat to change credit meters to pre-pay (without warning!!) i was at work when they came to do the gas one when i got a phone call to say 3 men were breaking into my flat, how i drove home from work i dont know i was so scared of what i was going to find! They had the warrants so not a lot i could do! The worst thing about all that was the fact that i had already had british gas send a guy out to change my electricty meter to a prepay meters when it wouldn't have cost me anything, and he left and refused to fit it saying that i would not be able to reach it and as its not viable he wont be doing it!... so why is it that they then can do it? it cost me over £360 per meter added to my ever growing debt!

its been a nightmare, but now im 26 and can actually see a light at the end of the tunnel and im just so looking forward to having a fresh start and being debt free! Never again will i ever get anything on credit, i will save for it! (except my mobile contract etc - its cheaper that being on pay as you go for my usage!)
