Agreed, I reserved my second item with them last week and it was the second item not in stock. The system appears to let you reserve the display product!

B&Q helpfully phone at 7am to let me know my product was out of stock!

I bought one of these in Peterborough this morning, there was about 10 on the shop floor at 8.30am.

Ring them up even if you reserved to check as I have just rung with my reserve no. and they said they didnt have any left. dont make unneccesary journey.

I reserved one and received a text to tell me to collect it tomorrow. I phoned the store to check they actually have it, only to be told they aren't honouring reserve & collect and it's 'first come, first served'. Asked how that was good customer service as some people may only discover this when they arrive at the store tomorrow and there aren't any left. The lady on the phone said too many people have reserved to expect them to contact each person to let them know in advance. I'm completely rubbish at complaining so asked if there was an address I could write to it seems unfair the manager of one branch has made up his own rules...she refused to give it to me and put me on hold.....

Very disappointed. Hope everyone else fares better!

Thanks OP,but I too have had problems trying to "reserve" one! Told I had a reservation but again when ringing the store, told me they don't have any! Also told that they wouldn't "pick" it till tonight so if someone buys it today you're stuffed anyway! Waiting on a call back from my local so fingers crossed!

I'm wondering how their system EVER works, if that is how they do it. Surely the whole point in reserving something is that you want to ensure something which is a good offer will be there when you get to the store....but if it won't be picked until hours later, it defeats the whole purpose. :think:

after the camping stuff farce, i will NEVER use B&Q reserve, its a joke

i have just reserved a chiminea, the nearest they have in stock is a 45 min drive away, now its reserved, so i ca safely say i can set of tomorrow morning and collect it , ha ha like i would even rely on B&Q if they were 5 mins away
