How much do you pay each month??

Up until recently i gave a reading every month and paid the bill via variable DD.
So anything for Gas between £15 and £82 a month, dependent on time of year (averages at less than £35 a month).
The electric was the same but never varied much off the £45 to £50 mark.
3 bed detached which is about a decade old with at least one person in most of the time.
I'm sure the average duel fuel bill is now well north of £1000 so if you are on or around £1k a year you aren't doing bad (especially with an electric meter).0 -
We do dual fuel with EDF energy by direct debit. For a 4 bed detached our gas and electric costs us £80 per month. The windows are double glazed, we had a new front door and patio doors at the back fitted a year or so ago. The loft is insulated and there is cavity wall insulation.0

2 bed mid terrace with loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and all round d/g. On British Gas Energy Smart variable DD. Pay about £36 per month at this time of the year. Low gas but higher electric as we cook electric.0

There are two of us (three when our son is home from university) and we pay £34.00 per month for gas and £37.00 per month for electricity. Four bed detached house.
I had a letter from BG just yesterday saying the prices of both were going up by 19% starting August 18. Nice to get some advance notice..."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Very depressed by this thread - £275pm for gas and electricity. The price of a charactor property they don't mention in the property !!!!!! shows!0

I live in a two bed semi-detached. I spend around £55 on Gas and £40 on electric. This isn't too bad I don't think, as I'm a Child minder I'm home alot of the time as well.0

Single person in a very well insulated 3-bed semi, DD's are £51pm gas, £28pm elec and have just got a huge refund on both. I'm in most of the time, don't do cold so the heating is on low all winter. Have an elec cooker but seldom use it, I have a sc, mw and steamer which are cheaper to run. No games consoles etc and nothing ever left on standby, always run the wm on econ 7, never leave the phone charger plugged in and everything bar the ff switched off when I go to bed. It becomes second nature to watch what I use, so I can have a holiday and buy extra treats for the family.0

I'm in the process of switching from British Gas to EDF. Based on a years usage, EDF have set my direct debits at £62 for gas & £42 for electricity (could be the other way 'round though). We live in a 3 bed detached house.COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0
