    Don't bother calming down, you'll just get mad again when they demand their money back because you "refuse" to deliver it ...
    If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.
  • I sold a childs push along trike last year and the title read;

    Used Little Tykes Trike ***COLLECTION ONLY FROM
    ***

    I had three people pay for it on BIN - the first one was in London, second one in Bristol, I asked them when they were coming for it and then had to cancel the transactions after they said the listing wasn't clear enough - the third one was in Bradford and paid instantly so I just left it (I was sick as a chuffer by this point) until she emailed me asking where it was and why it had been over a week and no sign. I politely asked her to read the listing and then get back to me . . .

    After the first one I also added it to the listing in huge red letters on the first line that it was collection only.

    ended up taking it to the chairty shop:D
  • I have been in communixation with him a few times already.
    he says it is to keep his old mum busy, funny thing is that his ebay id is camera related.
    Looking at his profile his mum must be very busy as in the last year he has bought 833 camera items lol
    I must have been very cheap in my listing

    I get wound up when people don't put the postage as "local pickup" when the item is for local pickup. Luckily, I always read the post thoroughly, but why put "free delivery" or enter a random amount and courier/postal service, only to specify in their listing that they will not post or deliver. Would be much easier if they said that before I wasted my time viewing their listing!

    Another common one is limited delivery areas only and people from the Islands and Highlands leave bad feedback when their order is cancelled.

    Ebay is full of dribbling idiots.

    I tried to sell one of my vans recently and had 2 blokes call up about it. One kept me on the phone for 25 minutes going over every single detail about the van and asking things that were clearly stated in the listing then concluded the call with " I better see if I can borrow the money from somewhere then".

    Idiot.

  • He has gone quiet after I said the total for the items would be £140.
    £80 for the cameras, and the P&P would be £60

    Collection only lots often go for much lower prices than delivered ones because of the cost of collection. I have had some deals (eg a £600 new vending machine for a quid secondhand) because it was collection only, similar units shift at about £300 if the vendor will deliver. Because of this, I use a courier (Silversprint, if that helps anyone) who do a slow but flexible service to get stuff shifted. You give them the pick up details and where the item is going to, and if you want it wrapping in transit, they arrange with the vendor a pick-up slot, and a delivery slot with you, and have had some bargains that way. It means I also always offer delivery via courier as an option even when collection is more sensible, as it means you get more bids.
