As master of the cunning plan I have many things up my sleeve to effect a speedy departure. Key is the fact many find me a huge pita and will want rid ASAP :D

SB has asked if he can postpone opening his presents til I'm home so I can watch him unwrap them. I do so love my boy :o

Have a great Christmas Bob xx

That sounds like my kind of cunning plan:D:rotfl::beer:

He is a little star. I hope you both have a lovely time together opening the presents, the kind of love that many would give their eyeteeth to have.

    Have a great Christmas yourself.

My gift to you is a virtual prayer::heartsmil:santa2:

I have a list of folk I know all written in a book
And every year at Christmas time I go and take a look
And that is when I realise that these names are a part
Not of the book they’re written in, but of my very heart.
Every year when Christmas comes I realise anew
The biggest gift life can give is knowing folk like you
May the Spirit of Christmas that forever endures
Leave its rich blessings in the hearts of you and yours.

    Thank you all.

I had surgery on Monday. Woke up in a lot of pain so was in recovery 5 hours while they tried to fix it. Ended up having a big shot of ketamine - that is one scary, scary drug, Why anyone would do that for fun is beyond me...it was like all the programmes you see where people's vision becomes fragmented and they can hear voices calling but can't see the people. Truly terrifying but it did help the pain a lot.

Wouldn't let me out until this afternoon as temperature was spiking. Had an x-ray about 3am to check my lungs. They also moved us onto another ward to minimise the wards open so ended up with 3 other women, one of whom was really offensive and loud. I begged them to let me out at that point.

So now all that carppy stuff is off my chest, let me share how truly magnificient SB has been. The turkey dinner was to die for. Asda managed to deliver neither turkey nor steak so we wouldn't have anything but stuffing and chipolatas unless my friend and SB had done an inventory on Monday to check they had everything. Pretty bluddy poor. Also no Christmas pudding (yeah likely in whole shop) so they substituted their own marmalade sponges and still delivered the brandy butter. Long griping email to them later in the week. And to the Works who promised me on Friday next day delivery of all the remaining presents and stationery...still whistling for that as well. Grr.

Sorry this has been one whingefest.

    Things I'm very grateful for...
    1. SB is a superstar.
    2. Grandad, Husky and Kittens are all well.
    3. Pain is under control.
    4. SB loved his presents.
    5. I have good friends both here and in RL.
    6. NHS staff are brilliant. Some of my favourite nurses were on and they'd arranged Santa and were bring round a "Drink" trolley as I left.
    7. Now the cancer seems to have moved again Radiotherapy may be possible to my neck.
    8. I'm home - that is beyond good.
Have a wonderful Christmas one and all.

    xx
