May try to get one of these. I need to upgrade my rubbish phone, a HTC Touch. Not paying crazy money for a iphone or such. Just want a cheap good phone.0
-
Would it follow that the Pre 2 would also be heavily reduced as well as many stores have them?
I just need a new phone as mine is 3 years old and temperamental now0 -
Is it just me being cynical? whats the catch here? why are they so heavily reduced? I dont get it....0

HP have decided to not use the OS any more So they either use these devices as door stoppers or sell them for cheap0

Both the hardware and the software are not being supported going forwards, so no new programmes, problems with compatability with software, if it breaks, it stays broke, that kind of thing. I means that the products are devalued, so HP are shifting them quickly to help cashflow and remove storage costs.0

Is this the one people are looking for?

It looks quite nifty but is still pretty expensive - when are the meant to come down??"You've got to cut your cloth to suit your wassname" Terry (my Dad), 1944-present0 -
Yup. that's the one,
How the hell can they say it's on stock if the phone is not even out yet ?0 -

There will be an announcement on Friday from the Palm (now owned by HP) website so there should be some news on these. They are going to be absolute bargains if they come in at the £49 pricing that is rumoured... and based against the touchpad, percentage wise it would equal a drop similar resulting in a cost of about £46....0 -
WestonDave wrote: »Unlike the touchpad which was already on sale, this has not yet officially been released on sale - no networks are taking it (so that means none of the network shops will have it in) and no-one will have any in stock so its far from clear where, whether and when it will be on sale. There are some rumours that it will only be sold as a bundle with accessories, - best bet at the moment is to wait until the HP announcement on the Palm website on Friday.
It was released sim-only last tuesday and carphone warehouse was offering them from weds on contract - a number of people were literally unboxing when they found out they had gone EOL.0
