I'm holding out for Pre 3 when I see at the definite price drop of £69. I'm not willing to take a gamble, or go through the worry while waiting to see if a retailer while refund the difference. I did the same with TP, which may mean I loose out but I only want one cheap to upgrade the old phone I have now. I don't even want one for £189.00 would rather buy a HTC Desire or something else. Good luck to those who do buy, hope it works out for you. Just hope holding out I can still get one.

Why does she have to have this phone ?

There's a million different phones out there and as has been shown with the Touchpad most folk don't even know what they do let alone how to use them - but they still have to have it and complain that their human rights have been violated if they can't get it

    This doesn't make sense.

It clearly stated on the website that the HP Pre 3 would be given a significant discount, and that to take advantage of this discount we could order at full price and it would be refunded. And this was confirmed to me via e-mail -- how can they go back on their word?

Yeah, well, I don't think anyone is stupid enough to spend £299 on a Pre 3 -- no offence to anyone that has.

I agree however people are still buying them at 199.00 which is still to much considering what they reduced the touchpad to.:)

Hmm... at that price it's not for me. I don't particularly need a new phone, but for around £100 (as was initially reported) sure I'll take one and see what I think of webOS.

even for £100 it's a lot I'd say. for about that money you can have one of the cheap HTC's and it runs android ...
