THanks for the photos vickynleon, the notice boards look like they work really well. We have been getting the free offcuts of chipboard/wood that you can get from ikea, then glueing lego plates to it to make a base for DS & DD lego models
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

Sainsburys in store have today reduced Lego City pens from £10 to £1.
  • If you're looking for inspiration and want an MSE way to do it, check out Ikea Hackers. There's some divine hacks for storage on there and the link below is a search result for Lego. My simple idea was a Lack coffee table with base plates glued on but I love vickynleon's amazing looking noticeboards.

  • Thanks for all the suggestions for Lego storage, I wasn't expecting such a big response! Brill ideas and I love the notice boards! You're so organised with all the sets separated with their instruction leaflets, ours is all kind of mixed together which is a shame.

Will have a chat with the kids and see what they think, and will have a study of suitable boxes. I do really love the notice boards they are absolutely brilliant. :)

Thanks everyone and happy Lego bargain hunting :)

I managed to bag a technic helicoptor (from 60 dosn to 30) and also the ninjago dragon (90 down to 45) last night at Tesco extra in havant, they had at least 6 heli sets and 3 dragon sets.
They also had one or maybe two city police station sets on the shelf at 36 (down from 71).
The helm's deep set SEL showed it reduced to £88, but there was no stock on the shelf.
