Wood Stove - have you heard of Merlin?

Eucid,
If you mean your girlfriends parents have bought many stoves from them, then why? Surely they would need only one with it's lifetime warranty.0 -
Not merlin stove, just stoves from the place in Hereford. They change for 5 years or so, just for a change. I probably should have made that clear. I was more pointing out that I/other close to me, have used the people who make them quite a lot. My girlfriend's parents fireplace heats two rooms, and they don't have a Merlin stove with has doors at each side.
Sorry for any confusion.0 -
Why would someone new to the forum wake up an old thread?
According to the web site, they are British designed, and clearly made overseas since country of manufacture is not mentioned. Chinese? Could be.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
I didn't know there was a time limit to post a reply?
I came across this thread whilst looking for things for my stove (ecofans, thermometers etc). I thought I'd comment as I've had a good experience with their service and stove.0 -
This is my stove, used to be called the Agatar. Solidly built, excellent output, can't fault it at all, or the company.

A very rude and unhelpful post:( You should apologise. We're all supposed to be here to help each other out in a decent and honest fashion. Shame on you.
Grow up, and learn some manners.
My post was not unhelpful. I pointed out that the stove is obviously made overseas.
There is a history on this forum of people posting on very old threads in order to advertise their web site or product. It is quite common. In fact the moderators agree as they usually get removed. Did you not know that?Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
Shall we get back to original post? I wasn't offended, I can see where there may have been some confusion. I'm not connected to them either, just a local driving instructor in Hereford.
The reason I posted was I do have experience with Merlin stoves and their supplier, as the original post asks.
If someone else were to be in a similar position as them, then may be my experience with them could be helpful.0
