Thank you,It was the 16" version. Halfords said it was not available, and when I did a serch within a 150 mile radius on the website, it also said there were none available. Thank you ever so much for looking and trying to help though.
They have it in stock in Glasgow at £224.99. Get them to move it to your local Halfords and get a refund. Insist on it!0 -
Thank you very much, because I live in wales it is more than 150 miles away that is why it did not show up in the search.
Many Thanks abbyscuito

Do you want the 2009 version or are you looking to get the 2010 one with no additional cost?0 -
I am quite happy with a replacement 2009 version, I dont think Halfords will stretch to a 2010 version.0

According to the Halfords website, Carmarthen, Rhyl and Worcester all have stock if that helps. No trees were killed to send this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. - Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson)0

Is this a Derren Brown thing? Have I won something?0

Yes its called "lose of a bargain" it could also be argued that they are in breach of contract assuming money has changed hands
But going down this route may involve small claims court if they decide not to play ball.
loss of bargain rule
Definition
Legal rule that damages paid to the aggrieved party in a breach of contract case should be sufficient in amount to put that party in a position it would have been had the breach not occurred. If op went elsewhere to buy the same bike, could it not be argued Halfords are liable for the difference?
They are required to put op back in the same position as before... with a bike...
Although whether thats right or not, take the refund and move on op... i'm sure you can find cheaper places than Halfords...0 -
I will do first thing in the morning. Halfords were saying today that there was no stock of this bicycle anywhere in the country, but op on here are saying different. I will take this up with them first thing. Oh and sorry you havent won anything, but i really appreciate your help0
