  • Because you can buy a small travel kettle that will boil enough water for a couple of cups for less than a tenner, they are small and light enough to pack in your suitcase along with a couple of unbreakable plastic cups, we are thinking along the same lines basically because we are not going AI and would like to have coffee/tea available in our room without paying hotel prices.

That's why I asked the OP the question on their plans.

Take a box nescafe or kenco sachets all you need then is the water added and hey presto lovely mug of coffee.

    Hi

We ALWAYS take coffee, teabags, milk powder in a sealable tub, travel kettle, 2 mugs and spoons wherever we go..lol..can't function without a coffee or 3 in the mornings and as I'm a ridiculously early riser I find it less hassle.

The UK is the centre of the entire solar system, past Dover 'there be Dragons'. It is impossible to buy anything to eat that will not 'finish you off' once you are half way across what you call the 'English channel'. Stock up at Tesco before you leave home (other supermarkets are available) or the world will come to an end.

I see half the men on here are completely missing the point and wonder if they even bothered to read the posts......why do i want to go in search of dried milk when i have some at home and put in my case right now........
point being its an all inclusive resort quite far from anywhere......also i arrive in the early hours!
I only want a coffee in the morning to get rid of the grouch monster within me that only caffiene can kill......
If i still want to have a BF by the end of the holiday (we don't live together) then the £10 of the price of a travel kettle is well worth it......I don't expect most people to understand my needs but those who do will completely understand.....and like i said it's no big deal but just wasn't sure if i could....and still don't know the answer as no-one has said.....but it's been quite amusing reading some of the posts...

luvvlyjubbly, i usually go a.i. so dont bother with t- bags etc. in the days i used to go self catering i always took t- bags dried milk etc. if i was you i would just pack my coffee and dried milk together in my case. i have been to many places including turkey and have never seen anyone stopped in the airport abroad and cases searched
  • I go to Turkey at least 4 times a year and always take a tub of coffee mate and a jar of gold blend in my hand luggage ( way too expensive out there ) and I have never had a problem

Yes i can but it's just my routine I want to get up early an hour before my partner, have a coffee or 3 and get ready and then go down to breakfast.....

Here's a radical thought - why not break your routine while you are away. Isn't that what holidays are for? ;)

I doubt any self-respecting Turkish coffee drinker would touch a cup of Nescafe made with Coffeemate.
