I cant find anywhere that says I cant take BT Line Rental Saver and still use Sky Talk Freetime.
The only terms I can find refer to 'legal stuff'
Line Rental Saver. Available to BT Calling Plan customers paying £120 for 12 months in advance by debit/credit card – equivalent to £10 a month. Any additional charges to be paid by Direct Debit with e-billing. At least two BT calls must be made per month or six BT calls per quarter to avoid a monthly charge of £1.50 or a quarterly charge of £4.50 being added to your bill. Advance payment is non-refundable. Exclusions and conditions apply.
Standard Line Rental for landlines. Currently £13.90 a month line rental with Direct Debit. Connection charge may apply if a new BT line is required.0 -

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Still dont understand. I obviously dont get it.
I pay BT line rental on their weekend calling plan. I cant make any calls through BT as have Sky Talk Freetime. I am therefore going to be charged £1.50pmnth extra by BT for not making the min no of calls.
But I dont see why this makes me illegible for their Line Saver rental.0 -

You can take up the BT line rental saver offer and have your calls with SKY "BUT" you will be charged for not making the minimum calls with BT £1.50 a month. Nothing to stop you taking the offer just the penalty for not being able to make the minimum calls. If your happy to pay then extra £1.50 month for not making the calls then nothing to stop you taking the offer.0 -
Like Heinz said, it's not possible to use BT's line rental saver with any other provider calling plan.
I was not believing that, and ordered Sky Talk + Sky Broadband.
Two days later Sky Talk was automatically cancelled.
It is really a restriction of the the "saver" option of BT's line rental.
So I will pay £15 for the broadband, loosing the £5 discount =(0 -
Looking at those 6 words again though, it could be argued that all those paying line rental to BT are eligiblefor line rental saver because it is not possible to have BT line rental without also taking one of BT's calls plans (even if you don't use it).
I actively use the inclusive calls available to me at weekends from BT's Unlimited Weekend calls plan whilst using a CPS calls provider and an indirect access calls provider at other times but the phrase, "available to BT calling plan customers" does not specify any restriction on the use of other calls providers and, therefore, is open to interpretation.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. You can have BT line rental saver and have sky talk. The only downside is BT will charge you £1.50 a month for not making the minimum calls required.
BT are not allowed to stop you from having your calls with another provider regardless of what contract you have with them for line rental. Thats the reason BT have the minimum call commitment on the offers. It is to discourage you from moving your calls away from them as you will have a penalty to pay if you do.0 -

Just went to order BT Line Rental Saver online and comes up with...
Bringing your calls back to BT
By continuing with this order, you will bring your calls back from another provider – either by continuing with the Calling Plan currently applied to your line below, or by choosing a new one.
We'll notify your current calls provider and your calls will be back to BT within 10 working days.
I have Sky Talk Freetime, not Sky line rental, and already on BT Weekend plan.
Does this mean that BT will cancel my Sky Talk Freetime?0 -
