Good evening everyone. This is the first chance I've had to get on the computer today as I haven't stopped. I don't work on mondays, tuesdays and alternate wednesdays but I always seem to be busy, hence the user name!
After walking the kids to school I went off to the gym for some 'light exercise' :j and then did the shopping. I picked up a couple of bargains in Superdrug and Home Bargains for next xmas and then did the food shopping in Aldi and Asda.
After collecting the kids I made a lovely lasagne for tea and popped the ingredients for Veg Hotpot in the sc to cook overnight. I usually go over the road to my friends on a monday for a girly chat and a bottle of wine, but I'm too tired tonight and will probably go to bed and watch the second part of 'Waking the Dead' (and have nightmares!).
edit(Forgot to say I had some good news today I won the bonus ball on Saturday. In school where I teach, we all pay £1 each week for a number 1-49 and if your number is the bonus ball on saturday then you win, usually around £40, or more if it hasn't been won for a couple of weeks.)0 -

This is just awful! Hugs and kisses. Must have missed this when grazing the posts! I know my DD and DSIL have ups and downs but he is so totally a family man. He idolises his sons and if it came to them parting ways I do know he would do his bit.
I just feel so priviliged to have had a reasonably stable relationship (35 years). Yes, we have had our ups and downs but you don't get this far if it isn't OK. Now getting maudlin - must be first day back at work and half a glass of wine!
Love to all

Well said moggins. Though TBH Cat it sounds like you've probably got a better life without him.
Are you lot sitting on my shoulder whispering to me? I've just been through the Boden sale and filled my basket with lots of lovely things.:D Then I emptied it. Good grief. Thanks guys:T
(there I was shining my halo for finding dinner out of the freezer when I found I'd forgotten to buy an integral ingredient for the meal on my menu plan (doh!) and didn't resort to takeaway or restaurant. It nearly tarnished (the halo) but you lot gave it a quick swipe of stardrops and I'm back on track again.:T

I envy you the great bargains that you get but you deserve them!
Hope the shingles improve and you feel better soon.
I have been a stay at home mum since I had twins 21 years ago. The child care fees and train fares would have meant that I was working for nothing! Now have four daughters and the youngest will be 13 on the 12th of this month.
The home made chilli was very popular so I might make it again.
Need to go iron a school uniform for tomorrow and put some stuff on radiators.
Big hug to all feeling poorly."This site is addictive!"

Just had a hugely calorific diner. Sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding etc but no chips! Bought bacon as a standby for Xmas and New Year and use-by day just about up. Lovely but the chocs maybe have done their toll over Xmas, NY. Haven't gone on scales but as I am only 7 stone and family reckon I am too thin extra lbs not a bad thing!
The heaviest I have been (apart from being preg) has been 7 and a half stone. When I had my first I dropped below 6 stone and DH so worried. We ate steak (which we couldn't afford) for days!0 -
Hello everyone :hello: Back at w**k to day and it has really affected my MSE OS time! I didn't get on line this morning and have only just managed to have a brief scan through the daily thread!
(((hugs))) to everyone who needs one - particularly PP and DLBs other half. I had shingles when I was 11 - it went around my waist and my granddad told me that when it went all the way round I would die !!! My girls both had chicken pox when they were little and the doctor told me I could get shingles again (I didn't). Shingles and chicken pox definately seem to be doing the rounds at the moment.
Hated being back at work - but came home to HM cottage pie (made during the break and popped in the oven by OH). Had to refill the car tonight (first time in 3 weeks) and managed to go round the supermarket and get just what we went in for (bananas and light bulbs :rotfl:). We are working to a strict 'buy only what we need' approach this year.Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

BargainRzl-I need your help hun:cool: Ive had a couple of PM's about not believeing how cheap I get bargains from Sainsburys & Tescos locally. Can you confirm that Im telling the truth:D :rotfl:
I don't live near you and we've certainly never met, but I can also confirm that amazing bargains can be had in supermarkets if you are there at the right place at the right time.
I was telling someone on the phone just the other day how I'd bought 2 bags of satsuma's for £1 and then was reimbursed £1.50 for the multibuy offer - :j :j :j yay, paid to take them!!!! :rotfl:
Ultimately though, PP, it really doesn't matter if people query it, we've had a couple of threads since the New Year on the subject of reduced goods. You don't have to answer the PM's if you don't wish to, or, you can choose to point them in the direction of the threads where it's been explained where and how to look. It's up to others if they want to go to the time and effort. Don't sweat the small stuff
((hugs)) for those who need/want them.

I think when we do the bargains. OK we still have a wee spellout and an odd bad buy or in the fridge forget. But overall we do well.
The second glass of read now kicking in.
Valentine - where are you. Want to know all OK.
