Easyjet luggage tip?

I've just booked an easyjet flight. Hold luggage was £30 a case so we opted for just one. The in my booking I checked to see if I could add another, in case when we packed it overflowed a single case. The cost was coming up at +£28 so it looks like you might be able to save £2 by adding it after. I haven't added another case yet so I can't confirm it.

Here is a better tip..............take 40 kilos in 2 20 kilo trolley cases of the correct cabin size...very light trolley cases are available that weigh only 2 kilos. They dont have to be very strong as they never leave your sight.
Also beware...........adding another case in some circumstances does NOT double your weight allowance.

Taking hand luggage is a well know tip and in any case it is hard to have zero hold luggage as hand luggage is no sharps, no bottle > 100ml, etc.. It's easier to have one hold case, IMO.

Sharps up to 6cm are allowed, several 100ml bottles will cover what most people need.

Don't understand why you were charged £30 for a case. Current EJ charges are £14 per case per journey leg (ie £28 return per person). They reckon they will charge double this (ie £28 per leg) if you opt to pay at check-in rather than pre-book online.

tiny?? have you seen a suitcase 55x40x25?? I would say it's pretty big!!

I can easily fit clothes for a week on a suitcase like that, and easyjet makes it even easier with their no limit weight.

I fly very often and never take other than hand luggage. Cheaper and quicker at the airport!!

And no chance of it being delayed/lost/damaged by the airline or its ground handlers.

I've just checked this and when you book the price is £30. Try it if want. My flight is London (LGW) to Crete (Her) but I tried another, Bristol to Cyprus and that too was £30 for luggage. The main web site charges you £30. Where do EJ state the luggage prices? It sounds like I have been overcharged although whether it is worth trying to claim that back is moot. I probably waste more on the phone call, not mention hours of my life in a phone queue I'd never get back.
