Unsolicited Goods
Goods sent to a person who has not requested them. The person receiving the goods does not have to pay for them. After 6 months the goods become the property of the person who received them. If the receiving party contacts the sender and asks for the goods to be picked up (and they are not), the receiving party becomes the owner of the goods after 30 days. Before the receiving party becomes the owner they must look after the goods and not dispose of them.

Not likely. DH is more frugal than I am. (No kids or lodgers.) He hasn't any idea either, except possibly card fraud.
Maybe he has a secret he doesn't want you to find out?
Are they size nine?

Have you entered a competition, maybe they are a prize from K&Co0

Have you :money: yet? I'm intrigued!

Hi everyone.
Well, I phoned them this morning & spoke to their Identity Theft Team. Rising From The Ashes called it correctly - it was ID theft. The criminal placed a small order in my name to my address then tried to place a £500 order to be delivered to a different address! K&Co were very reasonable about it and FWIW have logged a fraud report.

Narrowing down the possibilities - someone at work?0 -
Please don't get paranoid about it. These thieves are professionals, it's not personal against you, so don't start thinking this is someone you know, 99% sure it won't be hun. You've done the right thing, it's been reported. And that's an end to it really. Worrying about who, and why is very silly. It can lead to real feelings of doubt, and victim status. Move on, it's not worth any more of your time, honestly.0

There is a credit card in my maiden name (easier for work trips). About 3 months ago, the bank phoned me to say that there were some unusual on-line transactions and could I confirm if they were mine. (NB: I called them back using the number on the back of my card.) Well, after we got to the third one, we both agreed that they weren't, and that my card details must have been stolen. They cancelled that card, issued me with a new one and that was that. At the time, I wondered if the details were stolen from a certain hotel after I'd had to book a room over the phone. Now, though, I'm wondering whether someone stole the credit card statement from the post. I normally check the account on-line, so wouldn't register if a statement was missing.
Really, it's not worth worrying about - it is just someone being opportunistic. Hopefully, they were stupid enough to use their real address for the second order from K&Co so will get caught."Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'

Agreed. They just got lucky (or didn't in my case). If it wasn't through stealing my post, I can make a dozen other guesses as to how they found me (in their shoes, I'd start with professional membership registers - doctors/accountants/lawyers are often published online with a default of "show everything". Last time I looked, mine was set to "show nothing")."Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'
