Welcome will not answer it as it has been declared in default by the FSCS.

Mine was painless with the FSCS, from them recieving the form 3 weeks later £2800 in my bank, now I'm just waiting on WFS claim I've made direct for loans prior to 2005 and same reason so I think it's just a matter of time, good luck on your claim few weeks I'm sure you'll be a happy person :)

My claim with Welcome/FSCS was smooth and quick. Could not fault them, the whole process took about 4 weeks.

My claim forms were posted a week ago now. FSCS actually contacted me and sent me the forms, I'd never given it a thought before they got in touch.

Hi folks.....I attempted to claim back my PPI back in 2008 and got slapped down by Welcome. Then, out of the blue last October, I got a letter stating they were going to pay me just over £9,000 for the afore-mentioned PPI. I had two loans with Welcome - one taken in 2004 and the other in 2005. I thought my payout was for both loans. Anyway, when I arrive back from holiday last week there's a letter from FSCS and Welcome telling me to complete the application form for compensation for mis-selling of PPI. I'm quite bemused - and am also trying to sort out a long-running complaint with Welcome - so I ring them up and apparently as my second loan was taken out in 2005, they are looking at all loans again!! Anyway, I sent the forms in last week and I rang today to check that they had received them. They had, and they said that my claim was in Stage 4 of 5 stages!! What?? This isn't the Welcome Financial Services that I know and love!!!! Anyway, it's looking - and sounding having read some the posts about the FSCS - like I may have some money soon.....would anyone like to suggest what I may get back? I had a secured loan for £25,000 over 180 months...Anything they give me will literally be most Welcome as I am getting married next year!!
