Ajmoney i'm glad your move went ok.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Morning all

I'm in this week. Thank you for the thread, pigpen.

Sounds like you had a fab day fishing, Jojo. Glad you enjoyed it.

Have a great time at the festival, froddy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for little rain.

Glad to see you're ok, vanilla. Hope it will all work out for you.

I didn't get back on yesterday as DS1 had borrowed my laptop to burn some disks. I'll retrieve yesterday's list later. I didn't manage very much, apart from two lots of laundry (one still needs to dry), cook tea (from scratch, for a change), visit friends, declutter a snooze and tidy the top two thirds of the bookcase in the LR. It looks lovely, but I've got all the assorted gibble on the floor to work through.

Got to get my behind in gear now as DS2 has a swimming lesson at 10am. We're only 5min away from the baths, but I've done nothing since getting up, apart from having 2 cuppas and catching up on here. I want to call on a friend on the way back from the baths, so I'd better send her a text to check that she will be in. Can do that while DS2 is paddling.

    See you all later. x

    Hi All,

Rejoining, after a week's holiday in Blighty :)

I have already completed the following:

    Decluttered and cleaned kitchen table
Break down cardboard mountain and take to recycling box
Completely clean and disinfect bathroom (including floor and tiles)
Wash bath mats (there are no windows, so no curtains to do)
Catch up on washing after holiday
Cleaned caked on grease from Acti-fry using bicarb soda
    Clean filter on washing machine

    And here is today's list:

Monday ~ Kitchen and dining area
    Level One

    Declutter and wipe worksurfaces

    Sweep and mop the floor
    Level Two
Scrub the sink clean and polish up those tiled areas.. clean the gunky grout
    degunge the fridge
[STRIKE]Wipe the table, replace cloth if needed[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
    Wipe units, kickboards and appliances
    Clean the oven and hob
Give the small appliances a wipe over and replace in their comfy homes
    Extras
    1. Wipe the insides of the unit doors
    2. Clean a small appliance.. defuzz the kettle, decrumb the toaster etc
    3. Scrub out one cupboard
    4. Clean all the filters and door seals
    5. Add items to ebay to declutter (try to do at least 2 per day)
So, have been doing pretty well as the kitchen table and the cardboard mountain were frogs for me! I hated them! But they are now done, so we have reclaimed some space :D

I've become very sad, and bought the cleaning bible by Kim and Aggie whilst on hols in the UK! I blame my MIL, as I was discussing the old style cleaning ways, and she had a copy of the book. I quite liked it, so I bought one too. I'm very glad, as it has lots of hints and tips, and also just general instruction on things that I don't know how to do (but feel I should). OH has even been reading it (beginning to think there's a catch of the bodysnatchers going on there! lol).

Hope everyone is well. My SIL gave birth to my 2nd nephew on Sunday 14th (after nearly 48 hours labour), so I am very happy right now. Pigpen (and anyone else who may be preggers and nearing due date), have you given birth yet? Did I miss it? If so, I hope it went well and you and baby are doing well.

    xx

I've put the washing out, put another load in the wm, cleaned the rabbits litter tray out, fed them and let them out and started sorting the odd sock basket. will report back again at 10ish.

Morning ladies, Thanks to Pigpen for the new thread and best wishes to the absent Toots.

Froddy - Have a great time at Reading.

JoJo - your fishing story had me hooked! ..... I'll get my coat.....

DS1 starts his now job today. I think I am more nervous about it than him.

We had a nice day yesterday at my nephew's 18th birthday celebration. His sister the pregnant bride-to-be was there and considering she is 33 weeks she is tiny. We go to the wedding 3 weeks today and I think she will get away with it. We had a long discussion about how nobody asks if you are pregnant because you may just have eaten a few to many pies.

My plan for today is to tackle the list. I must get some oven pride. I will also tackle the little ones bedroom because I can't see any carpet. DS2 is going to stay with his cousins for a few days. DD1 and DS1 are coming to see Mamma Mia with me tomorrow in London.

Now I must search the voucher section of this site for a dinner deal!

I just found out that the supermarkets here add a small charge (10-50 cents) to each bottle (1L plus size) of drink they sell. If you return the empty bottles to the store for recycling, they refund the money. No one told me until now!

So, of course, OH has just received a message about this with a warning not to throw out any bottles!

Also found out that bicarb of soda here, is just soda. lol. All that time I couldn't find it!!
