Maizy,
Your financial situation is, sadly, typical of what might be called a domestic bankrupt.
As such, your main problem with the OR interview will likely be keeping him awake.0 -
Hi NA
Thanks a lot, put a smile on my face before work. Catch all later.0 -
Talk to your family about this! You seem to want to hide all this from everyone who knows you! Be open and honest! If you go bankrupt it gets published in the local papers!0

I believe it no longer gets published in local papers, only the London Gazette. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Not true, so don't worry about this. It only gets published in the local papers if it is in the publics interest for this to happen.

I had a shortfall loan after selling my ex house, the lender had to be satisfied that there was arrangements to repay the loan and then gave permission to sell for the amount that we were offered, i then went into an DMP and because the lender was the largest creditor, they got the biggest chunk so were happy, im now Br so they can do what ever they like!
please dont let things go on and on, i owe my sister money and found a bit extra from my SOA to be able to pay her back, also there is a brief period where you dont pay your DMP before the IPA if applicable kicks in...this is where I am and its very wierd!...this extra cash could be used to pay off family loans perhaps? plus the secured loan repayments, it might appease the family who could be on lower payments while in an IPA...
chin up - there is hope!!0 -

Trebor,
Local publicity now only happens if the Official Receiver (OR) thinks it necessary.
Typically this may happen if the bankrupt was running a small business and the OR decides customers locally may need to know.
In Maizy's case, and in the cases of the vast majority of personal bankrupts, there will be no local publicity.0
