oooh, chop up a couple of apples and fry gently in butter. Add some brown sugar and honey until they go all caramel-y and eat with yoghurt/cream/ice cream.

I'd go for the cake-in-a-mug though.

Eating an apple as is would be the fastest and healthiest solution.

No it wouldn't. They're cookers and really not nice raw. :p

Nonsense! Nothing is bad for you, in moderation. ;)

    Hi MBE

As someone mentioned above the cake in a mug is probably the quickest but fresh fruit and cream is my quickest dessert. Although crumble comes a quick second as it takes minutes to make the crumble and bung into the oven.

We have a current thread that should give you lots of ideas:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the replies together.

Much better if the apples are covered in batter and deep-fried first. The fritters should be piping hot to melt the vanilla ice-cream, and the caramel should be break-your-teeth rock-hard and crunchy, and scattered with sesame seeds. Yumcious.

ETA: does this look like moderation to you? :D

 That looks good. But I have previous history with microwaves and cakes, and it wasn't a good experience.

Have you tried the above recipe (or similar)?

yes - worked perfectly. Puddings I can do, growing stuff I can't. Just make sure you mix it well.

What, three tiny bits of apple and a fiddlin' amount of ice cream? Yeah, I'd say it was pretty moderate. :p

    yes - worked perfectly.

Do I assume SR flour, as the recipe helpfully doesn't say?

Ok, pop round and make me pudding, and I'll send you home with a nice bag of tomatoes to say thanks. ;)
