I'm very grateful to people for posting when there is a free listing weekend. For some reason ebay won't email me this alert, (and I have checked everything.)
I've got a nice pair of hiking trousers on at the mo.Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.0 -
I sold 9 loose pieces of wooden train track (almost for a joke) recently. The buyer was delighted and paid well over the odds for me to send them to France.
I sold a Thomas the Tank Engine train track that was missing the trains too. Turns out that if I'd mentioned it was in such good condition I probably could have got a lot more than the £15 that the buyer paid!! I was really worried he wouldn't be pleased with it, as it still had a Red Nose Day sticker stuck to it when I posted it!!0 -
I just came on here to say thanks to whoever it was who mentioned zapper, as I had never heard of them. Have traded loads of dvd's that the children have grown out of, and quite a lot of books that I've collected over the years, and got far better prices than I would have through amazon or musicmagpie. Although I'm pretty thrilled to have traded one cookery book that I've never really looked at via amazon for £39! Woo!
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work0 -

Old (Vintage!) Sony Walkmans seem to sell quite well on ebay. I've sold a couple recently for around a tenner each.0

Seeing this thread reminded me of an ebay auction I saw earlier
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLAME-FROM-THE-LONDON-2012-OLYMPIC-TORCH-/170852289802?pt=UK_Sports_Memorabilia_ET&var=&hash=item27c7970d0a
Wonder if he/she will manage to sell! :rotfl:
Also there is no insertion fee at the moment for 99p auction starting prices:

:j"From Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 June 2012, private sellers who list up to 100 auction-style listing(s) at a starting price from £1.00 or more in an eligible category on eBay.co.uk, will not pay an insertion fee."0

I used to really enjoy this thread, but there's not so much posted on it nowadays - maybe everybody has sold their junk/treasures!
It really inspired me to get rid of my clutter and make a bit of money as well. Over the past few months I've sold:
Straw hat
Old CDs, DVDs & audiobooks
Old software
Clothing
Foreign banknotes, including notes no longer in circulation
Novelty phones
China
Commemorative bowls & plates (just before the jubilee)
DVDs that came free with a newspaper
Miniature perfumes
Old sunglasses
Old railway toys
Smelly shoes!
1970's toys
Plus loads more.
I've made over £500 from selling stuff I don't need/want anymore. It can take time as a lot of stuff may sell for 99p, but it's better in my bank than as 'stuff' in a cupboard.

I read somewhere recently that when considering your postage fees, you should include your own time based on £5 per hour, so however long it takes you to deal with one listing, equate that to the £5 rate.
Having children is a wonderful thing.....I have loads of eBay stock now! My pre-pregancy clothes, my maternity wear and all the clothes that my 10 week old is fast growing out of. Not to mention all the freebies you get given along the way.
Just sold a dress from Coast that is 2 years old and a little (ahem) small for me now. £36, thank you very much. All profits go towards my new wardrobe!
