Things You Never Thought You Could Sell

Yeah, exactly! Oh well, hey. At least if they don't pay I will get my final v fee back.
Odd things I've sold this time include:
- Box of tights
- Small wooden spoon (10cm tall!)
- Coatstand which my parents bought in the 70's
- Polydron (made about £8 for it!)
- 2 opera VHS's
- Halloween witches broom
- 7 Jigsaw Puzzles
- A very old gynochological (you know what i mean) book.0 -
I sold my first 3 items!!! My 4th still is unsold again so will list again when there's free listing.
I was scared I might have calculated the p&p wrong but it was correct. Just got to wait for the items to get to the sellers and get my first seller feedback!
Thanks to everyone on this thread!
Well done! :T0 -
Ugh. I've got so much stuff to carry to the post office today. It would be nice if the car park was right near the entrance. Nevermind, it might build me up some muscle :P heh.0

Ive got a load of perfume bottles to try listing and I have bids on a pair of bedside rugs which are about ten years old.
Im going to clear out some shelves and cupboards and generate some more listings.
Just listed an old trophy cabinet, will see if that shifts. :-)Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Regarding packaging, I've found poundland to be best for padded envelopes.
Ebay itself is often much cheaper if you need to buy lots of them, the plastic mailers are also really cheap on ebay if you sell lots of stuff that doesn't need protecting. Steer clear of the grey plastic as they can sometimes leave a smokey smell on things.0 -
Have to admit, I am tickled pink at my sales at the min. Out of 33 listing only 4 didn’t sell and they have been relisted and are now selling. I am brutally honest in my description, right down to smoke free house but not pet free! Surely if the description is accurate then it shouldn’t be disputed!
I have been naïve with my P&P costs and have under cutted myself but still, can’t grumble that have made a reasonable amount of money for things I was going to donate .
I have a few larger items which I am trying on Gumtree first then will attempt them on eBay if they don’t shift. The Golf clubs have gone though.
It’s hard when I think yay ££££££s then think well, its all to pay of the stupid overdraft so technically already spent it. Never mind, half way there !0 -

Now that’s interesting. About a year ago I sold a Ted Baker jacket only to receive a message from the buyer that it ‘stank’ of cigarettes, but it wasn’t worth the cost of returning so they’d given it to a charity shop. I did respond, but never heard anything back (neither did they leave any feedback).
The jacket was sent using ... a grey plastic mailer!0 -
Ive got 4 wetsuits and some animal hides to sell. - Following a great declutter afternoon...Hope they shift, they have been taking up space in my cupboard!!Trying to shift that debt!0

You would think so but Ive just had a 1 cat hair complaint... and I too am brutally honest, at the end of the day some people expect a brand new item which has been vaccum packed and untouched, and there is always going to be a small minority who kick up a fuss even when a small mark which was detailed is examined by them and pronounced to be a massive stain! Pfft!!!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Ooh that's interesting to know about the mailing bags. I've sold a piece of fabric and was going to put it in a grey mailing bag but I think I will take the time to wrap it up now.0
