Probably not as bad as you fear, and at least you won't have to change terminals. Try to arrive with something to read and/or to listen to, so you don't get bored. Try not to be hungry or thirsty, since not only are food and drinks overpriced but there may also be long queues and slow service.
Do not be tempted to buy duty-free drinks on your way home, since they would be confiscated when you transit CDG.0 -
Don't worry, one day Ryanair will fly your route so then you'll have no problems.0

Air France & CDG are both awful.
Have flown AF on six occasions and not one flight has been satisfactory
(cabin crew strikes, rude staff, delayed luggage, major delays, missed connections due to airline incompetance).
CDG needs rebuilt.
Have vowed to avoid at all costs in future.0 -

I was so excited the first time knowing we were going the CDG, however my excitement was soon over once we got there.
Once you get through security there is virtually nothing except a handful of shops and overpriced snack bars. I know airports are expensive but we were charged 30 odd euros for 2 pieces of quiche, 2 glasses of wine and some bread.
I know KLM/Air France are one and the same but I much prefer KLM to Air France. Find the food, the staff much friendlier.
100% agree! I will never fly air france again. I flew Edinburgh - CDG - Johannesburg and my stop over was 3 hours. There was only a couple of shops open on a Friday night at 6.30 / 7 and all I could get was a pasta which cost 12 euros and I had to put it in the microwave to cook! Luckily the man working in the cafe/shop came over to show me how to work the microwave as I didnt have a clue but never again. It was disgusting and clearly they weren't bothered that they were serving cold pasta and telling customers to heat it up themselves. It was my first time in France and I had heard the french food was great so I starved myself all day looking forward to french food but I was so disappointed
If you have a stop over in CDG for an hour or more, take magazines with you as there is nothing to do except watch planes land.
I must admit the staff at security were great with me as I was nervous and kept going up to the second floor for the smoking shelter, they were just letting me pass through the staff area instead of having to take everything off each time.
I found the food on the flight really nice, but take an inflatable pillow with you to sit on as the seats are really uncomfortable and I had to use my blanket and a pillow the air hostess gave me, and it was still like sitting on metal.
If you haven't booked already, try and go with a different airline or go business class as it really would be worth the extra money.0/2013

You have obviously not had the pleasure of going to Miami then.Tojo_Ralph wrote: »Then of course there are the security staff who are without doubt the rudest people ever to grace an airport terminal.

Sunday morning and it took me 1hr 20 minutes from touchdown to clearing security at 2F.
Now 1hr 20 mins may not sound hideously long, but that's on the basis that I was on the first bus to take passengers off the flight to the terminal, I was the first person off the bus at 2E, I was second last on the first bus transfer from 2E to 2F, I know where i am going, I move like a rocket sled on rails
and I picked the right queue at Security!!!
If there was a god then NATO would give Libya a night off and fly a few sorties closer to home and do the world a favour.
