And even though I'm in bronze PC and will get in again this year, my sales and customer totals aren't what's expected - nowhere near.
I'm pretty sure you've mentioned this before, I Geek as you are our statistics whizz. When I first started, I was given an estimate of customer numbers per street but have had no update since. Presumably I can add up my houses and divide by 3 or 4 to get estimated customer numbers according to Avon. I have one small street (bout 20 houses) where I have canvassed and recanvassed but only had one house for a short time (although I have followed my customer through 2 more local addresses!). These figures they come up with are rubbish.
Onto brighter things, I was accosted by a lady as I battled my way home in the rain the other day. She was from an adjacent road and asked if I was a rep and if she could have a brochure. Have no idea how she knew what I was as she couldn't have seen me delivering brochures. Still, all new customers very welcome. I was actually eyeing up a couple of houses which had sold recently as I will recanvass next week. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Sales levels
In general on Connects people are reporting a drop. Even if the spending levels on the system were accurate a year or two ago, they've got to have dipped by now. Lots of reps reported a poor C12 and I was one but things got back to normal for C13 and C14.
But when I look at the figures they don't reflect that my area's tripled since I started. My customer base has more than tripled, too, so it's not as if I took over terrible streets. People seem to be spending less, and spending it less often. It's still well worth me doing, but the economic situation seems to have sunk in even more (because when I started in 2010 things were hardly rosy!).I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

What I usually say is that unless you want the bag, it's not really worth it. If the bag would useful to you, then it's worth the money as its good quality and you get some samples tooAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I've got my first invoice online. It says I've earn £56 ish pounds but it does take off the expenses of brochures or my £7.50 start up so I've only earnt £40 which isn't bad but not what it says on the invoice! Confusing! So basically I only count the 40 when I do my tax return I guess? Or say £56 with £15.80 expenses?0

Usually for your invoice, it deducts that amount of your costs from avon (so your brochures), so the figure it says you earn should be pretty much correct. The best way to check this, is to add up all your orders, then take 20% or 25% of that total (depending on how much you sold), then deduct the cost of the brochures & your admin fee. You should find it's roughly similar to the amount that avon say.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

That what it thought but it doesn't work out that way? Just worked out that I think I put my admin stuff, books etc under the customer order not under the other section! Will do it properly next time.0 -
I tend to just enter all my orders as one big order, rather than splitting it into different customers orders on the website, If you do it that way it should adjust properly for anything out of Ht & your booksAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
