DLD: Good luck, have only ever done two - one was a total waste of time, one quite profitable so 'horses for courses' and all that.

Good tip of Lozza's though to take other stuff. The last Boot Sale I did they reckoned I was 'trade' so charged me double  (I only had Avon goods to sell + I was recruiting new reps) whereas one of my Sales Leaders, 100 yds away, was charged the normal rate because she mixed her Avon goodies in with other stuff. ;)

Hi MC, yes I have taken a few campaigns off and then like you say popped a small order in (in fact will keep my account open for a bit to do just that) and then come back and felt like I should have just stopped before I had my LO.

Thank you for your support, you and this thread has been more helpful to me than any of my previous SLs ever were!

Its the right decision for my family at the moment but I will bear that in mind;)

Yr v welcome; good luck and don't forget your insight/knowledge re. Avon can be useful to others so no need to abandon us on here..... :rotfl:

Know I keep going AWOL but Lozza and a few others work hard to keep this thread going for the benefit of all. I really hate it when it goes 'quiet' on here so hope you'll still participate whether you continue with your Avon business or not.

Essential Pedicure maybe? Only a guess.... :)

Nope, she's had that one recently.
Will be ringing to ask her today I think, just didn't want to miss something obvious :)

Hmm.... Wonder if she means the new Footworks Healthy Intensive Callus Cream in C11? Code 02113 @ £2.45?

PS: Hope she's not thinking that's what the epilator is for! LOL

Mystery solved... she'd seen it in a magazine & turns out it isn't an avon product after all!

Thanks for the suggestions though :)

Maybe worth emailing Avon and suggesting they source something similar? ;) Gather they're always on the look out for new products to add to their ranges.

    Re:Carboot
I have looked through C10,11 & 12 and selected products at their best price eg/The bubble baths at 3 for £4 thinking that if we charged £2 each for them including commission we would make £1 per item.
I have done similar for shower gels, foot creams, shampoo, conditioner, deodorants and some kids bath stuff.
I will do as you advised and take some of our own stuff aswell and just see what happens,at least I can say to DD that we tried.
Am I right in thinking that there is no limit on what you can return?

    Hello ladies,

it's been a long, long time for me away from the forum - really busy working in 2 jobs, PhD and Avon and my little one but I have been keeping on and each order since I started back in October was over £148 (apart from one, post Xmas) so not that bad. The last one was nearly £300 so pleased with it, even though I really do Avon only to boost my hrs for the tax credits purposes (and so that I can have a walk and be away from the computer).

Anyway just wanted to ask as missed this completely - there was an offer for face creams for £3.99 if a customer handed back in any old cream. Do I need to send these empty pots to Avon? Ireally have no time to dig and haven't managed to sort out returns and my delivery is tomorrow morning!

    Hope everyone's doing well:-)

Well done you for juggling all those balls!

Quick reply - face cream offer.... No, Avon don't want the customer's original face creams sending back. Just dispose of them yourself and/or just offer your customers an 'extra special deal' to try the solutions range at the reduced price. ;)

Good luck with your car boot sale.

As for returns, no there is no limit but if you go over £150-worth Avon may request a photocopy of your returns note, receipted by the carrier, to be posted to them before they will apply the credit to your account.
