No worries, just something to bare in mind if you get a return like that in the future
Hopefully things will pick up for you now - I hardly ever hang onto stuff I can't deliver - unless its an absolute bargain that I know is popular with my customers, or something I use myself - I'd rather just send it back and not be paying out for something extra.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hiya, just a little update from me.
I have dropped and collected books from about 2/3 of my territory now (that's about 100 house) and 1 friend and have got 6 orders totaling £103.00
I have some books out and about 15 more to drop off which I will collect on Saturday and then will redrop for Tuesday collection. Hopefully that should cover most of my houses. Next time will be easier as I will have more books (if I can get most of them back).
I haven't asked at work yet so I should get a few from there. I have put the orders I have on the system so far and with the demo stuff I want from HT (including stuff for me - quad eyeshadows and flawless foundation) and brochures I will get my 25% commission:j
Looks like I will easily spend my commission again though
I seem to spend quite a bit of time doing the ordering especially trying to be a bit creative - checking for offers and which book is cheaper etc. I am enjoying myself though and feel I need to get to know the products a little bit so that I can talk about them
How is it going for you guys (especially the newbies)? My job for this week is to ring the tax office so they know I am working the extra hours in time for the new tax year (so I get to keep my working tax credit - I have a part time job of 18.5 hours but needed to be doing 24 hours or it will stop from 1st April).'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
I have some bits from before Xmas I've not been able to deliver (and they got pushed to the back of the cupboard each time I wasn't able to deliver
) and this time around I've had to buy choices of stuff, plus returns, plus stuff I bought in C2 which hasn't been as popular as it was last year and now I need the money more than the potential profit down the road
I'm thinking I'm going to stick to just creative ordering from now on rather than buying stock when its cheap so I can make a better profit when the customers order it.
Time to put immediate profit before long term profit.

Perhaps you could try a company that is more party plan based - not to everyones cup of tea, I know it's never appealed to me, although they do tend to have brochures as well, but I know theres a couple of candle companies which seem like they have reasonable costs involved, and at least with a party plan company if you're paying x amount to join - you usually get products worth more than that so it would be harder to end up out of pocket.
I did look into it but I moved to Cardiff from Edinburgh a while ago and don't really have friends/family who can make up the parties. I'd be solely relying on advertising to strangers. Plus, I'm a complete wimp :rotfl:Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
My order was held, gave them a quick ring, paid £80 deposit. Should be here normal delivery day. It's not a major issue, there's at least £15 of returns in the order anyway. I'll just put the £80 straight back in my bank when I've started delivering orders. I'd rather do that than let customers down. I'm starting to build up a good base. A fair few houses are now on no books/no occupant. So I'm losing less books each campaign. C7 is out to people who didn't order from C6. Those who back ordered (mostly due to me not being able to get round my territory) from C5 will go straight on to C7.
I'm hoping OH hasn't got a shift on delivery day as I'm at work and I have a box of returns to go back. I'm sure my safe place is next door though. Or I might even ring the courier and get them to deliver after 12.
Excited for sorting out my order, I've already had a nosey through HT7 online and filled my basket with £30 of goodies >.<0 -
Do you mind me asking where you viewed the HT7 online, please?0

It's in the order section. It updates automatically when you swop to the next campaign.0 -
Hi Guys,
Can anyone help? I'm only just on C6 (having delivered my C5 orders today) and the information on the website has always coordinated with what campaign I'm on. However, today all the website info has switched to C7, and I can't get any of the facebook ads etc for C6.
Does anyone know why this is?
I've tried to put in an order for C7 and it doesnt let me......
Help?
