Best bet is to ring the courier the day before and see If you can arrange a suitable time, or ask your neighbour if not. Also worth leaving a note saying you agree for delivery to be left, sign it date it etc in case your neighbour has problems, though I can't imagine they would.

We order once per campaign, on the dates you will have been given, people are used to waiting a little while for delivery so don't worry.

Avon reps have 1 "regular" order every 3 weeks. The deadline for entering it is once every 3 weeks, and the delivery date is once every 3 weeks.

There are "additional" orders but it's not worthwhile doing those until you're in Silver or Gold PC (in other words, a very high seller with a turnover of something like £11k per year or more).

Every separate order we do needs to reach £78 to get 20% discount, and £148 to get 25%. Additional orders come with a £2.50 P+P charge.

Avon reps don't earn commission - we buy goods in at one price and sell them on for more. Some reps on Connects have been saying "when do I get my commission paid from Avon into my bank account?" Which is fair enough if you've been told that reps earn commission. What actually happens is that the customers pay us direct, we pay Avon for the cost price of goods sold and any business tools, and we pay for any other expenses, and what we're left with is our profit.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but do Avon still sell Planet Spa Dead Sea Minerals Body Butter. I bought a load last year and am running out. Wanted to get some more but cannot find it on their website. Has it been discontinued?

Dead sea body butter - yep this is still available. :) It's in Brochure 5 - Alesha Dixon on the cover, brochure 7 and brochure 8. If a rep is calling at your house they should be delivering brochure 5 or brochure 6 at the moment. If you've got brochure 6 in the house and don't want to wait until brochure 7 to buy some, you can always ask your rep if they can backorder some for you.

Thank you. I have a miserable rep who is a bit hit and miss with brochures. Haven't seen the one with Alesha Dixon on cover. Will give the rep a phone call me thinks. Can you tell me how much it is, just wondering if it is on offer?
  • thanks dean
you are obviously putting a lot of hard work into avon,do you ask sales manager for an empty territory to canvass/recruit.reading these posts it looks like avon like reps to stick to their territories
    thanks

Sales leaders get commission as that is paid by Avon, for reps it is referred to as a discount or earnings as commission implies that Avon will be paying them there earnings into their bank account. Avon mostly refer to it as when you've delivered All your orders then you pay Avon and pay yourself. They don't say, you'll get 25% commission, they say discount. Whether it's called commissiOn or not, it's still an extra income and it taxable, calling it a discount doesn't mean it's not taxable like you seem to be implying, it just means its not paid to the rep by Avon.

    Hi all,

Coming up to the end of my first week with Avon, things are slow and steady to be honest, still got a week and a half to get some orders, im just nearer my £78 target, I was hoping to reach the £148 target tbh but not sure if I was expecting too much too soon. Im not doing territory as I dont feel confident enough at the mo, so selling to friends and family and trying to drum up buisness through word of mouth, got my fb page up and running with 117 friends already. I know these things take time and effort which im determined to do, just cant wait for things to progress! Pointless Post really lol xxx

No it's nice to share how you're doing :) if you haven't already, see it anyone you know will take a book or two into their work for you, my mum does this and a few of my customers too and it's great, it gets you extra orders with minimal work on your part!
