I would really like to give Avon another go, as I'm saving for a house deposit, but when I did it before I had zero support, and it seems to still be a problem from what I've read on here.
I'm also really worried bout the state of the service reps seem to get from Avon. It seems that unless you are PC, you only get half your order turn up, and what you do get is bashed to bits.

Anyone say anything to dispel my worries?
I really enjoyed it before, but I had no SL and I shall make no comment on ASM support.

Thanks in advance for any advice! x

Give it another go - what have you got to lose?

I have no personal knowledge of your ASM but certainly, as others have said, you'll get loads of support on here.

Don't be swayed by others' negative comments - PC members get a dedicated helpline but other than that my experience is that the odd problem re. orders happens whether you're a 'normal' rep or PC.

  • Got my c1 order last night - everything there which should have been (2 items OOS but I had seen that on my invoice and was prepared for that).
BUT : there were also several items which I hadnt ordered and werent on my invoice - 15 C5 books, 5 C2 books, a hair dye, 1 complete magical Xmas gift set, another 5 eternal magic purse sprays and an eternal magic body spray!
It just goes to show how some reps end up with so many items missing :(

From what I gather, the extra items are all to do with how the boxes are packed i.e. believe it's done automatically through chutes, which sometimes get blocked so when the blockage is cleared some lucky reps get extra whilst other reps are short.

You can get copies of invoices from Avon, not sure who to speak to though - personally I'd try emailing them first, they seem to do a lot better when it's written down first.

I would like to know if they can, as I have asked before and they have refused to provide them. They claim not to be able to. I find this hard to believe, as I am sure they have to keep them several years by law to satisfy the Revenue.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

    Happy Xmas Avonettas,

I also would like to thank you all for your friendship & support, it really does help when things get a bit 'challenging' with avon. Have a good rest and lets hope for a good year ahead. XXX

Hope everyone had a great Christmas :)

Been so busy with another 2 new additions to the family - 2 girl guinea pigs! Definitely reached our limit now with a hamster, 2 cats, 2 rabbits & 2 pigs! Hubby was very pleased with his Xmas present from me, a trip to London to see wicked. He's been on about it for years so figured we may as well while we are able. Just means were having 2 mini breaks next year as well as a big holiday. Very unusual for us we didn't really go anywhere last year just one night away with saving for the wedding. So - will be needing to do a lot Avon wise in 2012 to make sure we have enough pennies for everything! Was very mse yesterday in the sales though and got some bargains from boots as mothers days presents!

    Here's to everyone having a fab 2012!

well, have decided to do something I've been thinking about for a while - not going back a second day to collect books! Did it that way for C1, although admittedly had only delivered to a few customers but anyone who hadn't put the book out got a note asking them to contact me if they wanted to order, and quite a few did. So, will be doing it this way for C2 (collecting them today) and hopefully carrying on that way, then they might learn to put it out on the right day, and if not at least it'll save us fuel & time not having to go out a second time. will be a shock to some of our customers, but as most know we both work full time as well, they should be pretty understanding. and if not, it's tough lol!

Well done; Avon is all about how to make it fit easily into your own life i.e. maximum return for minimum effort. Takes a while to figure out the best way for your own particular circumstances. When I first started I'd go back and back and back again (particularly if they were within easy walking distance); now I do the same as you unless I know I have to go back again for something else.

Happy New Year everyone; hope 2012 is good to us all!

I, too, have been thinking how to minimise the physical & time consuming effort of running my avon. I have to spend so much time on just a handful of customers who cannot simply leave out a catalogue, fill their name and address in, respond to reminder notes, be in for agreed delivery times, etc. I too will stop pandering to them & it'll be one note to contact me by a time deadline.

And.... rant! One customer who rarely orders, did her usual trick of sending three quarters of her order back. (£78 order). Just because she didn't fancy it. I have to tread so carefully as all my customers know each other & she'll soon catch on, WHEN she doesn't get as many catalogues. Tough!

    Anyway, Happy 2012 to everyone.

Lovely to hear about your pets Lozza. I had my 7 month rabbit spayed today. Her behaviour has been totally out of control with rampaging hormones. Bless her. She's now home and has a hot water bottle to snuggle up to & is obviously feeling out of sorts. Of course, I'm hovering anxiously & will be up in the night to refill the hottie.

Oooh, not good - especially if your customer does it regularly. I used to have one like that but had to get tough. I tried the 'is it a question of you not having the cash until ......' approach; worked a few times so worth trying but in the end I starved her of books (her mum was an Avon rep anyway so that should've told me something. Doh!)

    Live and learn..... ;)
